As Connecticut is in the midst of a very serious situation regarding guns and gun registration, Governor Dannel Malloy attended a town meeting this week to address constituents at John Barry Elementary School in Meriden, Connecticut. During that event, a pro-gun citizen, who has opposed the legislation signed into law by Malloy, which requires gun owners to register their semi-automatic rifles and high-capacity magazines or be considered felons, asked how Malloy could push legislation that is against law abiding gun owners while abolishing the death penalty and offered early release for violent criminals. Malloys answer was not to point to the State Constitution, but to point to the peoples desire to feel safe. In that respect, he told the questioner that the legislation regarding gun registration had gone through each branch of government and your side lost. In essence, Malloy said, Get over it.
Malloy told a constituent who asked about the constitutionality of the gun registration law, One court has already decided courts are where the constitutionality of these things are decided.
Youve thrown that term around, Malloy said with a smirk, speaking of the term constitutional. Its gone to the court, and guess what? You lost.

No, just poor spelling and spell-check didn't help. I meant the word that rhymes with choose.
Maybe the Gov would like to kick in my front door...

Eric, if they kick in your door, they win.
There is no way a solo (surprised) homeowner can win against a squad of body-armored SWAT members packing full-autos with a raging urge to use them. You might get one or two of the Redcoats but the final outcome is certain.
Instead, consider having a few friends on “hot” standby, in a mutual support role. Just for fun, let’s call them Minutemen.
This is not a democracy, it is a constitutional democratic republic. I like to remind people that if we had a democracy, all of the black people would have been sent to Africa and all of the Jews sent to Europe in the 30’s, because the majority of Americans were polled and found to be in favor of this. And, Prohibition is an example of the demands of the rabble the consequences of the quest for political popularity.
He only thinks we’ve lost because he thinks it is over.
Last I heard the Governor is an elected position unless he knows something we don’t about the future of “elected” offices.
It would be pretty funny if dawg-1 pulled the trigger on that Mossberg with his wrist in that position and the barrel so close to dawg-2's face.
According to Obama it’s a paper crime that doesn’t require enforcement.
The CSP (Conneticut State Police), who would typically be doing the door kicking, have about 1300 troopers. I suspect a portion (about 3%) of the officers in CT would retire or find other employment before carrying out these orders.
To put this in perspective there are about 1.3 million fulltime police officers employed in the US, and approx. 200k Federal law enforcement officers (including military police).
If he is such a big, bad governor, why doesn't he just search all the houses and collect all the illegal guns? After all, the people lost, and he won? Right?
Isn’t it interesting that a govt type that has gun toting protection doesn’t want to allow his subjects to have the same protection?
Hey there Governor, give up your armed protection first.
And walk through your f’ed up state with out protection.
This arrogant scumbag’s mama was so drunk, she couldn’t spell “Daniel.”
No, that is why we have a Constitution, because the Founders did not trust the whim of the mob.
As I have said many times before: the Rule of Law dies in CT when the first body hits the floor as a result of Malloy’s enforcement order. After that, the Law of the Jungle Rules and that means all the politicians, cops, lawyers, judges, TV talking heads, print media editors, and their families now become targets for retribution.
Malloy’s actions will provoke a reaction — a backlash that will result in many deaths — and casualties will be both innocent and guilty. Civil war is NOT civil. Malloy and his ilk will find out, unless this escalation stops, that it is easy to start killing; it is another thing altogether to STOP the killing. I see dead people walking.
Does look more like Wayne LaPierre of the NRA
That’s Wayne LaPierre.
What a coincidence.
Delusional arrogant elected criminals seem to have a common vocabulary.
When the California Central Valley farmers went to DC to appeal for help reversing the desertification of their valley a number of years ago, because pleasing the "bugs and bunny" crowd was more important than feeding the oountry, Dianne Feinstein's response was, "it's the law! Deal with it!"
Incidentally, when Bank robbers successfully pull off a heist, they all say something quite similar.
Considering 95% are already dead from the a**, up...
It’s clear to me why Malloy wears a red necktie.
It is to keep the foreskin from sliding up over his face.
