I have an in-law member of my family who did almost the same thing as is being done there about art. In my travels to Paris, France, and the Louvre art museum and to Greece, I have a replica of the statue “David” and “Venus”.

David, of course, is nude and Venus is bare breasted and they were standing on a table next to each other in my bedroom. This family member is super religious. She was upstairs in my house and later, after she left, I was in my bedroom and found my David and Venus turned around to face the wall. I stood there staring at my statues and started laughing. Who was she protecting from the evil of nudity to turn them around? Herself? Certainly not me as I am the one who paid good money to have them.

Anytime you come to my house you are welcome to see David and Venus facing forward. If that offends you, don't come to my house to start with as I probably offend you, too, for having them in my house.

I was a Christian probably before you were born. David and Venus are superb works of sculpture. The eye of the beholder can make them whatever they want. She chose to make them evil in some sort of way so much so she turned them around. That was excessive compulsive behavior on her part.
