An invitation for African American Parent Night at the Parkrose School District in Portland, Oregon says in part, If you are an African American parent/guardian or have an African American student attending Parkrose you are invited to attend an evening with the Superintendent
And of course, a representative from Covered Oregon will be there to give a 45 minute presentation on Obamacare. The school also touted additional Upcoming Culturally Specific Parent Outreach Nights, on a Facebook post, including Hispanic Parent Night, Vietnamese Parent Night, and Slavic Parent Night.

public schools are child abuse
If you’re not black please don’t attend.
So what do you do if you’re a Serb who is married to a Puerto Rican and the adoptive parent of a Vietnamese child of mixed Afro/Asia origin?
Do we go to the Hispanic or the Asian parent night??
You go to the midnight madness mixer for mixed families
When was “Redneck Parent Night”?
Seriously, some of us are a Duke’s mixture of Scots-Irish, Welsh, English, Dutch, German and Cherokee Indian and have been over here since the 1600s so it’s just easier to call ourselves “American.”
And what about those of Vulcan, Klingon, Romulan, Jedi, or Zatarian heritage? Not to mention any undocumented immigrants from Middle Earth?
The next day features Balkanized Parent Night.
Were they consistent enough to have a “White Parent Night” for Caucasians who don’t identify as some specific nationality/ethnicity (German, European, Slavic, etc.), or is that too honest a thought for their puny, NEA edumacated “minds”? How bout “American Parent Night”? Could they comprehend that one?
What if you and your kids are Heinz 57 (sorry, Tuh-ray-zuh), like most Americans? Do you get to go to all the nights?
Right now, getting a bunch of Ukrainians and Russians in the same room together, may not be the best of ideas.
Slavic parent night...
(Phonetic spelling) Crveni, bieli, blavi; yasem hrvatsk pravi! Red, white, blue; I am a Croat true!
I guess my 100% Croatian dad would have qualified me for that “slavic parent” night...
Many a time I heard that saying when I was school age.
The Highlander is on my Moms side :D
Yeah, Parkrose has a large population of Ukrainians and Russians.
It’s OK to celebrate your heritage.
Just don’t make a Hobbit of it.
ELVES DEMAND EQUAL RIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!
Apparently there are no whites at this school since had there been whites, Slavic Parent Night would have been incorporated with White Parent Night.
