Violating universal human rights, Christians and other minorities in Syria are being threatened by militant Islamists.
Convert or die!
Christians must either; convert to Islam, or stay Christian and pay tax. If you default on any payment of these taxes, you could face death as punishment without trial.
This is called a "dhimma", or taxes much like a protection agreement with Al Cappone during the thirties, you signed no contract. If you are a Christian and don't agree to this agreement, and don't pay your taxes then unfortunately you are "Faced with the Sword" and put to death.
The "dhimma" has been around since the 7th century, offered to Jews and Christians for protection. It is a tax of about 4 gold dinars or $500 per person. Certain groups, the poor, middle class pay a respected percentage of that but since the average wage in Syria is around $5,000, a lot of Christians that won't convert and cannot afford to pay anyway, what is going to happen to them?
One of the 11 conditions of the agreement is; Christians won't be able to build anymore churches or restore old ones, eventually fading out the Christian religion from Islamic territories.
In the Koran (Surah 9:29), followers of Islam are instructed
to "fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day
and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and his
messenger have declared unlawful -- those who do not
practice the religion of truth though they were given the
Book -- until they pay the tribute willingly and have been
humbled."
The Islamic's long history of
tolerance and co-existence between
Muslims and Christians is over.

You've got about several contradictions and a couple of oxymorons in that one statement.
1.Islamic's Long History of Tolerance.

2 And that's another thing about Islam. They make up these outrageous lies, statements as if the events they claim happened were carved in stone, and when they themselves admit that lying about Islam called TAQIYAH is permitted.
So, how can you trust them when what they say can be based on lies?
