I doubt the law will or can be enforced against anybody driving the speed limit in the left lane. Except in the cases of the most blatant left lane slowpokes, those driving well below the limit, there is too much subjectivity involved.

I always try my best to move over for those going faster than me, then I get behind them. It only makes sense.

Alternatively I hate those who are blocking lanes by going slower than everyone else.

Virginia passed a similar law - though not a misdemeanor - several years ago and it has had no effect.

Probably because the cops don’t enforce it.

I doubt seriously that police have the time to enforce this sort of thing or that they will.

We have a hands free law here and I watch people texting, talking and sometimes even reading email as they drive down the road, I have yet to see anyone getting a ticket for it.

I swear on a stack of bibles here in Atlanta these people that do the posted speed limit in the two inner most lanes are directly responsible for charred bodies all over the roads. This is a good attempt.
