As far down as the plane is in that image with Fuddy by the door, there would be no way the door would have closed before submerging, IMHO. The upward pressure of the water would have held it upon right up to the very end.

In that image you posted the back window is already down into the water. And Fuddy is by the door: In Lang's image, if the black line above the window/door-ish area is the door sticking straight up into the air, (I'll post the image below this so everybody can see what I'm saying), then the back window in Lang's photo is just getting ready to go into the water since we can still see the lower sash of the window/door/whatever. IOW, Lang's photo would have to have been taken immediately before this one. If so, then where are all the people in Lang's photo?

The orientation of the rectangular windows in these two photos are different.
