I was coming back from Navajo country Thursday afternoon Michael Savage was so depressing (true but depressing) that I search the radio and come on this song playing on the another station. I had never heard the Statler Brothers version of Amazing Grace. Listen and you will see why it is now one of my favorites. Funny thing when the song was over the annoucer was speaking Navajo and the only thing I could understand was when he said The Statler Brothers!
PING!
.
“When we’ve been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun, we’ve no less days to sing God’s praise than when we first begun.”
That’s my favorite verse...What joy and peace we have in our hearts thanks to our Lord and Savior.
Huh??
Bttt
+1
Uhhhhh ....Huh?!?!!!??

Did they plant something on your computer?
I just tried the link and it worked. I am in the central US.
It may be some setting in your browser.
I had no problem with it either.

Amazing Grace is my favorite song. I've requested that it be sung at my funeral, and played by a distant piper at the internment.
This also brings back fond memories of a good friend who introduced me to The Statler Brothers in college.
I appreciate all you bring to FR, Kartographer.

Go one better, put all the songs you want on CD for your funeral. I’m at that age where people begin to plan for it. I have every thing laid out in a Medium plastic box, my instructions to the preacher, my music I chose by the artist I like, including the items that go in my coffin with me, down to my wedding ban and my Bible.
There will be NO funeral home music played, it is junk. I want a CELEBRATION collections of songs. I celebrate going HOME.
When my late husband died, I put the gospel songs he played and sang on CD, I did not care if it made some uncomfortable, it was HIS wish. Master’s Bouquet was one of his favorites. This is his version, you will have to turn up the sound. It is not fancy as I am just learning to up load to You Tube and do not know how to increase the volume there is a silent lead in so be patient. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQSXBcjrGP4
