Since the start of the financial crisis weve seen a breakdown of law and order in countries all over the world. In Greece, Egypt, Iran, Ireland, Iceland, and Spain we saw some of the most prominent displays of the people pushing back against a system that had spent decades smothering them with failed policies and regulations.

>>Heres one. Youll have to sign in to see it, though, because some interests dont want you to see the developing Ukraine protestor/rebel steamroller in action (as *not* seen on TV).
I think it is a crime on part of a regime to put a police in a harms way like that. Mobsters are extremely violent, armed with different lethal weapons and police is standing as a herd of cattle taking all of this beating just to encourage the mob to go further.

It’s on youtube anyway.

Either burned alive or suffocated.

Asymmetric warfare
The video shows a few seconds of a ball of flame surrounding the vehicle. It’s maybe enough to stall the engine, maybe not. It’s certainly not enough to heat the interior of the vehicle. A good vehicle would have breathing equipment to wait out the flame ball, and either restart, or get out. There should also be sufficient fire power within a good vehicle to “suppress” the crowd.
Yes, but all the better to get them in their laagers before they can attack.
For all you Freepers who freaked out when you found out the Homeland Security had 2700 MRAP’s. They are easy to kill :-)
Aluminum transfers heat more quickly and easily than steel. “Breathing equipment” with oxygen would be a no-go. A filtered air cooling system would also be a no-go for several reasons. “Sufficient fire power within” would require unbuttoning and getting out. APCs require much time for maintenance checks, cleaning and much money. They’re not much good except for chemical environments. It’s all old tech. APCs have been around for ages, and many millions of men have gotten to know and dislike them well.
Surprise.
There are ways, though. Law enforcement officers would do well against riots by mounting machine guns or automatic grenade launchers on their new APCs. Maybe even anti-tank missile launchers for driveaways from car stops. Better yet, mount large flamethrowers on ‘em. That would be very effective against former middle class, suburban civilians in our western culture countries. It would be the next logical small step.
After all, the police need high grade military equipment in order to “keep us safe”.
Maybe they should start looking into some tac nukes, as well.
Exactly. ;-)

Recent European history clearly indicates that even a communist troops are unwilling to shoot at their own people.
Yes. You said it well. My comment was intended be ironic, sarcastic and satirical, of course.
Once in a while in history, a large, armed gang will pillage, rape and attack good people, and a threat of force by many men against such a gang is necessary. But we all know the difference between good and evil. Good soldiers and police should not fire on their good and honest countrymen.
Our American Declaration of Independence, Constitution and the letters explaining the intentions of those documents are good guidelines. Morality is necessary in business, academic and political leadership, though, to honestly apply and sustain the intents of those documents.
