Good grief. If you knew how many caskets I’ve looked at in the past 3 days you’d realize what a silly thing you’ve suggested.

Look at the fabric on the “hands” photo. It’s not stiff in the slightest. I actually question whether that could be the same kind of fabric as is in the Diocese photo.

You’re just arguing circles around the clear angles I’ve pointed out. Drapery cloth doesn’t stand up straight like that. I don’t know what that is, but it stands up straight and stiff enough to make clearly-defined angles in the photo we know is from the funeral but not in either of the others. That is just a fact.

If they were going to hide a hinge it would be even more important to do so while people were passing by so that nobody bumped the hinge, got caught on it, etc.

But then, that casket with the mourners passing by also has the wrong kind of flowers. The casket in the Diocese photo has a particular arrangement on the open lid: white wreath in the middle with greenery swags on each side, and a pink wreath hanging straight down on the very end of the lid. The KITV image with the mourners at the front of the church has a white wreath looped widely around the corner of the casket lid. Different profile, different wreath and placement of it, different pall, different kind of lining fabric...

So you’ve looked at caskets for three days and the best you could come up with is a 2-tier casket? Which doesn’t exist?

I refuse to try to reconcile all the differences between the images. You are dealing with a two hour visitation and a separate funeral service. I have no clue what happened over that three hour period - what got moved when, etc. I can come up with explanations which are reasonable, but you’d dismiss every one, and, unlike you, I have a life to live. Did the visitation start in one location, then get moved to the sanctuary? Did some child spill Hawaiian Punch on the original pall so they had to replace it with a backup? Did a sister’s flower arrangement get delivered late so had to be moved to a prominent location? I have no idea, and I really don’t care.

But what I DO know is that TWO television stations reported on the open casket funeral of Loretta Fuddy. The Hawaii Catholic Herald not only reported on the funeral but included a photo of it. The photo includes both the Governor of the State of Hawaii and Loretta Fuddy’s open casket.

So, of course, the obvious conclusion everyone should come to is that Loretta Fuddy is still alive and Hawaii is filled with people who are either 1) afraid for their lives, 2) bribed to be quiet, or 3) complicit in the conspiracy. Those people include the Governor of Hawaii, the Roman Catholic Church, every mourner in that church, all the people in the plane that crashed, all the rescuers, the coroner, the funeral home.

Sorry, that is NOT the way the real world works. Loretta Fuddy died. She had an open casket funeral and was buried.

I don't understand your problem with the pall. They sure look identical to me.

You have the identical darker image on a lighter background. Because of the sunlight, it's pretty washed out in the second image, but it's clear they're the same. You can't quite see the edge decoration of the embroidered strip, but it's also obvious that it exists on both images.
