Also, as I’ve said elsewhere, the people at that funeral didn’t have to know anything was going on. Heck, her family didn’t even have to know what was going on. The person at KITV knew that they were supposed to make it look like there was a body in a casket so they photoshopped an image from the KHON broadcast. If the family knew they may have thought the editors at the TV station accidentally threw in some wrong footage or something; that explanation was offered here as well.
But there is no reason to fake a body in the casket. They could have shot the same type video as KNOH without showing a body and no one would have cared. In fact the only reason you have to have them jump through all these hoops, is to save your conspiracy theory.
If they wanted to fake her death, it would be easier to just say she died in her sleep at home. Then you have video of the coroner wheeling a gurney with a body bag out. The way you got it, they have to crash a plane, hope she doesn’t die there or in the water afterwards and you have to involve emergency personnel both Coast Guard and Hospital staff. Death at home has way fewer people who have to be in on it.
