My MS Word issue was a hit-job. For one session of Word usage and one session alone the rotate function was corrupted. Microsoft crashed Word dozens of times this morning (Microsoft Diagnostics found no reason for it), disappeared what I was working on last night, and will not let me exit that session until I agree to have the records of it not recovered.

I can open a NEW window of Word and everything is fine, including the rotate function. But I’m stuck in an infinite loop on the session in which the rotate function was corrupted, until I agree to relinquish and leave as unrecoverable the records of that session.

I’ve shown the photos I took of what happened on my screen, at my blog, at http://butterdezillion.wordpress.com/2014/02/06/i-did-not-lie-about-microsoft-word/

This was a hit-job, to attack my credibility. I am not a computer expert. In fact I’m a computer moron. But I can take photos and see what’s in front of my eyes and I know for a fact that I did NOT lie or manipulate the images in any way except by cropping images and using the corner arrow to enlarge them.

As soon as somebody gave me a suggestion to find out why my analysis was wrong I did what was suggested and went out of my way to make sure that everybody would know that my conclusion had been wrong. I did what it took to check my methodology and saw that it was sound. That was why I discovered the Microsoft Word corruption, and I reported that right away too. I’ve been paying the price for that all morning - not only with the harrowing stuff with my computer but also because of the cowpie-gnats buzzing around my eyes saying I’m crazy to think that Microsoft would do this, even though I’ve got the photos right there.

As always, if somebody can show me I’m mistaken I’ll change my mind. But with the stuff I’ve seen on my computer and my son’s computer in the last few days, I have no question that this was a hit-job.

I should add that I regret that, given what’s been happening with my computer and my son’s laptop in the past few days, I wasn’t paranoid enough to suspect that something like this hit-job would happen. I should have seen it coming.

But no, that would be “crazy”.

Something else I would like to explain. I had seen the article that Raicha quoted in his/her comment to me, saying that a standard casket can usually fit somebody who is 6’1” and 240 pounds. That article also says that length is not a problem because they can bend the legs to make them fit. The issue is the width. Whether Fuddy is wider than a person who is 6’1” and 240 pounds is hard to tell, because 240 pounds distributed over 6’1” is a lot different than the same weight distributed over a 5’2” frame.

I do not believe that the average ADULT is 6” tall when lying horizontally, although when you factor in children with the adults that is probably true. In the photoshopped image her head is slightly elevated as if on a pillow, but in the Diocese’s photo there is nothing showing where the hair would be.

As best I can tell, Fuddy would have had an inch or two leeway on each side with her arms flat against her body, based on the photo.

The caskets in the KITV images that appear to show the inside of the casket have a different profile when looking down the casket’s length. Those images show a straight line across, whereas the Diocese’s photo shows two tiers.

I can sympathize with your problem, but cannot offer help in what you can further do to attempt to resolve this problem.
I have been bad mouthing Micro Soft for many years, since in fact it's first Window system became available back in the early eighties. Not that this will help alleviate your fears of similar things happening in due time.
Hang in there.
