Let us therefore animate and encourage each other, and show the whole world that a Freeman, contending for liberty on his own ground, is superior to any slavish mercenary on earth. -George Washington, 1776

George attacked the high quality, mercenary Hessian troops on the evening of Dec. 26. He took the Hessian's by surprise since they were celebrating a pagan festival. George and the USA militia, being raised on what the Word of YHVH actually says, didn't celebrate this festival, spending the night and next day destroying the works of the enemy. The traditions of men had not yet overruled the Word and early USA did not honor pagan festivals, like Dec. 26 for almost a hundred more years; it was largely a Germanic tradition. Said another way, USA didn't festivalize Dec. 26, from it's beginning in 1607 until the mid-1800’s.

“evening of Dec. 26” being the Xmas eve’ or Dec. 25, to clarify.

George Washington is so outdated in some circles today— precisely why he is my role model.
