I Look Down On Young Women With Husbands And Kids And I’m Not Sorry
Thought Catalog blog ^ | January 15, 2014 | Amy Glass

Every time I hear someone say that feminism is about validating every choice a woman makes I have to fight back vomit.

Do people really think that a stay at home mom is really on equal footing with a woman who works and takes care of herself? There’s no way those two things are the same. It’s hard for me to believe it’s not just verbally placating these people so they don’t get in trouble with the mommy bloggers.

Having kids and getting married are considered life milestones. We have baby showers and wedding parties as if it’s a huge accomplishment and cause for celebration to be able to get knocked up or find someone to walk down the aisle with. These aren’t accomplishments, they are actually super easy tasks, literally anyone can do them. They are the most common thing, ever, in the history of the world. They are, by definition, average. And here’s the thing, why on earth are we settling for average?

If women can do anything, why are we still content with applauding them for doing nothing?

I want to have a shower for a woman when she backpacks on her own through Asia, gets a promotion, or lands a dream job not when she stays inside the box and does the house and kids thing which is the path of least resistance. The dominate cultural voice will tell you these are things you can do with a husband and kids, but as I’ve written before, that’s a lie. It’s just not reality.

You will never have the time, energy, freedom or mobility to be exceptional if you have a husband and kids.

I hear women talk about how “hard” it is to raise kids and manage a household all the time. I never hear men talk about this. It’s because women secretly like to talk about how hard managing a household is so they don’t have to explain their lack of real accomplishments. Men don’t care to “manage a household.” They aren’t conditioned to think stupid things like that are “important.”

Women will be equal with men when we stop demanding that it be considered equally important to do housework and real work. They are not equal. Doing laundry will never be as important as being a doctor or an engineer or building a business. This word play is holding us back.

She’d probably like it if humans disappeared. Most liberals think of humans as a force of evil. It’s called “projection.”

Men and woman are equal in the one thing that matters most, survival of the species.

As it takes a man and a woman to create a child, it takes a man and woman doing what they do best, to raise that child to be a responsible productive member of society.

Amy’s view is suicidal for society, any society at any place or time in man’s history.

While a society can survive with a few out of step individuals, it can not survive when those out of step impose their values on it.

Man, traditionally bigger, stronger, more violent has been the bread winner and defender. Woman, traditionally more nurturing had the responsibility of raising the children.

While there are individual exceptions, society requires that men perform the role of men, and woman perform the role of woman.

Feminism have “won” in the sense that to even object to a woman doing a “man’s” job is to open yourself up to attack from the left. So we are living in a world where we send our wife’s and daughters to the front line in combat so they can be killed, wounded traumatized while men are encouraged to raise the children.

But even this is not enough for the feminist. They advocate choice for woman, but like all views from the left, you can choose anything as long as it is what we approve of. Getting married and having children, staying home to raise those children are not what the left wants so they attempt to demonize those that make that particular choice.

This is a great social experiment we are living and it is causing great pain to generations, but in the end it will fail. I just hope it does not take down our nation with it.

Classic damaged goods. They invariably have that
“dog in a manger” mentality.

Articles like this are really just trolling. They get clicks because of their offensiveness, but probably the author doesn’t even exist. It’s just something that the editors know will get a big stupid reaction, and clicks are how they make their money.

Look at the bright side: Getting her in the sack is probably a snap.

Doing laundry will never be as important as being a doctor or an engineer or building a business.

Say that when you walk into a doctor's office where nobody has washed the linens or cleaned the floors or toilets. (Or maybe you remember that from when you visited an abortion clinic.)

Me thinks somebody did not get invited to the prom and has not been asked out on a date by a worthy guy in quite a long time.

Then again she could just be a femi nazi lesbian who reflexively hates “breeders”

If they ever do a remake of The World According to Garp, I think we’ve found a perfect casting choice for “Pooh”.

Yeesh!

This woman obviously has never had children and has no idea what motherhood is really like. I did all those things she celebrates before I had kids — backpacked around Europe on my own, was a lawyer in DC, had a stint doing international relations and traveling around the world. And let me tell you babe, that was playtime compared to rearing children! Yes, anyone can pop out a child. But it takes a heckuva woman to raise them right. Sadly (and perhaps thankfully for posterity), she seems quite inadequate for the task.

Opinions are like rumps, everyone has one.

She’s representative of a certain mind-set who believes that they, and they alone, have the answer to living.

There are a lot of those people running around right now.

I'm not familiar with Amy Glass bless her heart, but it sure sounds like she may be too plain and/or too homely to attract an honest hard working man and is lashing out at women that are more attractive. Poor Amy, bless her heart probably would be well served to spend a little more time with people she disagrees with. It might help her understand others.
Or NOT.

What does this chick look like?

She certainly has a ugly attitude. I hope she doesn't have any children, ever.

One of my female friends is an oncologist (cancer doctor), with a husband and four kids. She has admitting privileges to two hospitals, one regional, and the other one of the best in the nation. And she's one of those darned Catholics who goes to mass every week and prays for her patients! OK, she has an assistant at home and several at work. Still, how does she find the time? Guess she just has more of it than the whiner who wrote this post....

I don’t think I’ll be able to stop cleaning and doing laundry, though, so we’ll have a pristine dorm room!

I’ve been fantasizing about going to college with #2 son in the fall. I could get a little apartment, work days at the Boone Walmart, and moonlight as a ghostwriter for slacker students like #2 son.
