just a reminder . . .

Lately, I've felt compelled to put into words my thoughts on the current state of affairs we find ourselves in. There is so much confusion, much of it deliberately created, as to who we are and what course we should take as a nation. Sometimes I wish this passion I have for America would just go away...that I would join the majority of Americans in oblivious slumber and become unaware of the looming evil that has cast itself over our land like an evil shadow. Sometimes, I wish "I took the blue pill" for you matrix fans.
However, the fiery passion that stirs in my soul cannot be denied. It is as if an outside force placed it there and it now has a life of its own. I cannot control it. It controls me. It commands me. It drives me. It seems if I don't make an attempt to give it life...to put it in words, it will consume me.
In order to see through the fog...to find your way back , you need to know where it is you came from. America has forgotten where she came from. She has forgotten who she is. She has lost the vision given to her by God. The same vision that guided and inspired so many generations of Americans to make this world a better place, to shine as a light of freedom, to lay down their very lives in service to the idea that America is. It is a shame that among our so called leaders, I cannot think of one, just one, who has communicated what America is, why we are exceptional, why we are the greatest nation this world will ever see. The only one I knew in my lifetime that effectively communicated the idea that is America....the vision that inspired us....was President Ronald Reagan. However you feel about him it cannot be denied that he held, cherished, and shared..quite effectively...the vision and idea of America. In contrast, the politicians today from both parties are self absorbed, immoral people far more concerned with personal gain and power than in preserving, protecting, and defending the constitution they swore to uphold.
To know where we are and how to get back on the right track , we need to understand where it is we came from. Our great history has been distorted, lied about, and not even taught to generations of Americans. Those in positions of influence, policy making, and power are convinced that America is evil...that we are the cause of the world's ills. From politicians, to teachers, professors, policy makers, journalist, church leaders, and celebrities...they have taught and argued that America is deeply flawed. That we need to change dramatically. That we are a racist, war mongering nation.
There are many that feel God to be irrelevant. That we can have a successful constitutional republic without Him. That people can be moral and effectively maintain a free society without religion. This is a common mistake. While people can be and are moral without a belief in God, the maintaining of a free society is not possible if its citizens do not have a faith and a belief in God...particularly the Judeo Christian God. This is a fact that even our founders have stated. A brief look into history and the world around us even confirms this. The vision that is America was inspired by Judeo Christian beliefs. The belief that the individual is sacred...that our rights are God given, not man given...is essential. Without belief in God, you cannot believe that our rights are unalienable God given ones. That belief is the cornerstone of our republic. Without it, the house we are will divide and crumble. The reality is that we are divided and we are crumbling. Any honest person will admit this. It is no coincidence that this crumbling and division coincided with the beginning of the removal of the Religious from public life.
The expulsion of God from public schools in 1964 was the beginning of this crumbling and division. Though it was years in the making, it became a reality in that year. Since then, we have been in a slow and steady downhill journey towards the immoral, debased culture we live in today. This was no accident, nor was it a spontaneous event. American Marxists, using the methods advocated by Italian communist Antonio Gramsci, worked hard and diligently to infiltrate and influence our institutions in an effort to remove the importance of God and religion from public life. To replace God with the State...both in public life and in the heart of man himself. They HAVE succeeded. They have influenced a critical number of Americans to bring about the fundamental change to our culture and government Barack Obama spoke of. This is where we came from, and this is where we are. Lets look at our founding, our history, our Exceptionalism. Let us remember who we were. If we forget who we are, or were, we place our freedoms in danger of disappearing forever.
This is going to have to start with a whole bunch of us humbling ourselves before God and admitting that we have made a great big mess, that we have forgotten him, and that we need him.
If we don’t then we stay on present course.
“Do not be afraid.” Pope John Paul II revived those words from Poland to Africa and around the world. We just didn’t quite grasp that we in the US were going to need to digest those words, here, a few years later.

9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." - Matthew 24:3-14
God tells us things will get really bad - worse than at any time in history. America will not escape His wrath - certainly not after allowing the murder of 55 million children, the governmental theft of the hard-earned income of everyday people, turning our backs on the Gospel and codifying into law what God calls "abomination".
Salvation is for the individual, not for nations.
