Your post has given me some grounds for optimism.

I'm glad that it did.

We hear so much doom and gloom these days. Much of it is the ravings of frightened souls who've lost their will to resist. Some of it is intentionally planted here by agents provocateurs. Call it psychological warfare. It's debilitating and contagious. If people don't think Free Republic is a prime target for such attacks, they've got another think coming.

In JimRob's mission statement, he declares that he won't allow FR to become a platform for the naysayers and doom and gloomers, but somehow their insidious message creeps through anyway.

He can't be everywhere policing this stuff, so I feel it's incumbent on the rest of us to counter it wherever we can.

I never thought of it as a coordinated attack. Good catch! Around election time, the new posters coming in to spread hate are pretty obvious. So why wouldn't they be around all the time? As Big Brotherish as the Obama administration is, I always figured my postings were monitored. It's just one more step to add in some moles.
