They made it a crime to subject minors to gay propaganda.

I understand Glenn’s compassion for other people, but we Americans have a lot of problems of our own to fix, or to even address before we start lecturing others on the right way to live. We cant seem to budget our money, we cant seem to guard our boarders, and we have very high unemployment among our young people, for a start.
I don’t agree with criminalizing poor bedroom behavior either.
If there are any “political” statements made at the Olympics, it’s not going to be from gays. It’s going to be from people who kill them.

This is so bizarre! So some Russian actor said something derogatory about gays? I never hear anyone condemn Tracy Morgan for threatening to kill his son if he turned out gay.

There is one HUGE difference between Russia's gay propoganda law and "corruption of a minor" crimes in the west: it is a Russian law prohibiting propoganda. You're crazy if you think, for one second, that Putin and his henchmen won't use this law against his political opponents (whether by planting prohibited "propoganda" on social media sites, re-defining "propoganda," or something else).
I don’t feel good about this. The set up of vulnerability reminds me too much of the Munich Summer Olympics. Putin should leave the Chechneans (sp) alone, if that’s what all the hatred is about. Let them colonize and only destroy each other. There seems to be no limited to the level of carnage they are more than willing to inflict. Were they not also responsible for the infamous Beslan nightmare?
