In his press conference on December 20th, President Obama urged the House of Representatives to support the Senates immigration bill, which passed 68-32 in late June. Among the concerns cited by Americans who oppose reform are that immigrants will take their jobs, drive down wages, increase criminal activity, burden the welfare system, and reshape the cultural dynamic of the country. These concerns are mostly ill-founded. The legitimate concerns have real solutions, and a more open immigration policy will be a net benefit for all Americans...
Highlights from Article:
- A 2013 study by the American Action Forum states that "immigration reform can raise population growth, labor force growth, and thus growth in Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
- In 2013 the Bipartisan Policy Center came to similar conclusions. It makes the prediction that current provisions, as included in the Senate Bill, would raise GDP 4.8 percent over twenty years.
- According to the Immigration Policy Center, immigrant males between the ages of 18 and 39 (which constitute the greatest portion of the prison population) are five times less likely to be incarcerated than are natives.
- A 2011 survey by the Pew Research Center revealed that 92 percent of second generation and 96 percent of third generation Hispanics speak English proficiently.
- A 2010 Gallup poll revealed that Hispanics attend church services more often than non-Hispanic whites.
- Since an influx of immigrants means an expansion of the labor supply, many assert that the result will be less jobs and lower wages. However, as asserted by Jason Riley, a member of the Wall Street Journal editorial board, The number of jobs in the United States is not static. Its fluid, which is how we want it to be.

Heh heh heh.
Hi Darks. Smooth Flying Castle move you made there.
Have you been eaten much by my Kerblacht?
I hope you grew back. I would really, really miss you if you didn’t.
Yes, I remember that one. It was so lame, the original poster didn’t even get the Zot. This one is better.
The only time I’ve managed to get vegetable oil to burn in an oil lamp is by mixing it 50/50 with lamp oil/refined kerosene.
Have seen it on the net, but no luck.
Must vanish, Goodnight folks.
Perfect!
You must have crappy vegetable oil in UK, because the stuff I use for my turkey deep frier burns just swell....
Hey, ‘Face!
I was trying to catch snowflakes on my tongue, (boy, were they fat!), and I kept getting them in my eyes!
did snow turn you into a 10-year old?
sounds like fun
That's peanut oil.
No, I've never stopped being one.
It would also run on pure methyl alky. But before next season it would need a new/rebuild of the carb and new rings, assuming that the cylinder walls don't get too scored up due to the alky wiping out the oil coating... Otherwise it's new Briggs 'n Stratton or new solidified globull warmthing relocating device time..
Besides, burning a 'racing' fuel in a solidified globull warmthing relocating device is just plain useless.. (BUT.. that blue flame from the muffler that is only visible after dark is really neat!!)
Not that I would know anything about that...
I don't use "peanut oil," K? I hate it.
Is it getting warm in here?
Kerblacht only nibbled a little.
Being globully wormed by abumnibabbling snowbeasterns at the moment.
Yikes correct thread now. I am sorry. Feel like a idiot! proofreading would have helped that!
Yeah, he played very dead.
What a wimp, right?
Goodnight, see you tomorrowish.
“Special guest victim” and all!
Not here. Fricken cold at 73. I bet it’s colder where my friend moose is.
Phew! You had me worried for a while there.
Send the little uh... sweetie back to my room, and I’ll just make sure she is um... behaving herself.
Sorry about the abumnibabbling snowbeasterns. If you’re in distress, please let me know.
My Kimber Sapphire and I will be happy to help you out.
