Accomplished liar Kathleen Sebelius breaks pledge to Issa Committee, changes ObamaCare rules

On December 11th, HHS head Kathleen Sebelius told Darrell Issa’s House Government Oversight Committee that 365,000 had enrolled in ObamaCare. Later on during the hearing, this conversation took place between Sebelius and Representative Michael Burgess (R) of Texas concerning the definition of “enrolled”:

Burgess: What if that patient doesn’t make the premium payment? You said they’re covered Dec. 23, but they never write the check. They never make the payment.

Sebelius: Then they’re not covered. They are not enrolled, and at every point along the way, on the website they are told until they make the payment— (1)

Sebelius repeated this claim to the Committee often and without hesitation–if a “customer” has not paid, they are not covered.

Oh, what a difference a day makes! Twenty four hours after giving this assurance to Rep. Burgess, Sebelius once again changed the Affordable Care Act and...

So Joe signs up for a bronze plan and on Dec 31st sends in his check. But the back end 834 doesn't get to the insurance company so they don't really know Joe's profile but since he is getting a bronze plan the insurance company estimates his subsidy and turns in a claim to HHS and maybe someday cuts Joe a refund check. Joe don't be holding your breath, because if you faint and need medical care the insurance company can say the policy was not yet fully in effect. The trial lawyers must be rubbing their hands waiting to sue the insurance companies.

I had everything done including a knee replacement and a hip revision. It was a big drain, but I managed. Good to go. I’m under 60 but saw the writing on the wall. So did my Ortho Surgeon. I feel extremely bad for folks not yet diagnosed with serious conditions. Or especially folks that need re-hab and can’t afford. A huge sorrow for them and their families.

We have some friends who have postponed their cataract surgeries, and we hope that they will not be sorry.

Yep, I did the yearly “health prevention” and whatever it's called and passed, they are perplexed with 127 good cholesterol. Pass grade is 70 :) We have guaranteed Insurance through end 2014 through spouses employment, but have no idea after that. Thanks for your point of view.

I think that is their fondest desire, what they’ve managed to do so far I think will prevent that. Even the poor and the millenials are turning on them.
