Everyone laughed when Texas A&M went and bought itself a law school. Now the joke really is on conservative Aggies, with word that the dean selection committee includes a professor who says the Second Amendment should be repealed and tells students that the U.S. Constitution is outdated.
One can only wonder what prominent, pro-gun, pro-constitution conservative Aggie officials like Governor Rick Perry, Attorney General-hopeful Barry Smitherman, Lieutenant Governor-hopefuls Jerry Patterson and Todd Staples have to say about the decidedly out-there views of Professor Mary Margaret Meg Penrose.
Or even about the circumstances that allowed her to be among those deciding who the first dean of the Texas A&M School of Law will be ?
So far, no one has said anything.
Its not like she has been whispering these things in private.
A November article in the Daily Caller was headlined CALL TO ARMS: Texas A&M law prof says its time to repeal Second Amendment.

It's bad enough Danny Glover got paid to speak there and illegal immigrants are given "leadership scholarships" and permitted to protest on campus grounds unabated.
How do you tell who the Aggie’s are in a department store?
Look for the guys trying to slam the revolving door.
Fire this professor.
I've seen this up close in a couple of other universities. You get a bunch of faculty that have "marxist envy" when they look at places like Columbia, Harvard, Berkeley, etc. They agitate to add courses and programs - all of which get staffed with marxists. Eventually, the new "studies" programs and departments reach a critical mass and tip the balance of control and, suddenly, you've got another leftwing bolshevik factory.
She is no constitutional lawyer.
ONLY when genocide and or social control by a tyrannical government or invasion by an enemy is no longer a possibility, then the US citizenry can do with less firearms. This prof and those that agree with him need to be at the front of line for the NWO's population extermination plan (see Bill Ayres comment of exterminating 26 million Americans if they do not conform to the new America).
This kind of jackass is the of the type he would never openly debate anyone with any opinion “adverse” to his, except it be in circles and parties of like minded morons.
I have liked the Aggies ever since I saw one of their half time shows (remember when TV actually showed them?).
Seeing the band come out wearing those brown boots and playing the catchy fight song really was impressive. I also like the fact that they carry on traditions.
There is one they need to change tho. Get rid of the all male yell leaders and get some hot cheerleaders.
He? The author? Or the professor (a she)?
Cheerleaders? Are you trying to troll for hardcore Aggies? Lol
He/she/the author...
Robert Gates was in the front of change when he was President in my opinion.
Cheerleaders? Are you trying to troll for hardcore Aggies? Lol
Not a MQS fan?
Don’t worry about this particular barking moonbat. In less than a minute online she would learn just how difficult the process is to repeal a Constitutional amendment.
Hey comrade profesora, an Amendment can be repealed only by the ratification of a subsequent Amendment, and that’s only happened once. Ratification is not just Dingy Harry wringing out 51 votes in the Senate, it requires the approval of three fourths of the legislatures of the United States.
That’s racist, of course. (Sarc tag necessary? Gee I hope not.)
No!! I’m irritated that the Aggie dance team lines up and the football team ones through them. They also dance at the basketball games. Yuck!
My son is a sophomore there. He grew up in California. He says it’s still conservative, but he says the kids are really respectful of kids of all beliefs. He says it is a huge contrast to te treatment he got for disagreeing with liberals in Cali.
I’m class of ‘84 Aggie.
