I don’t understand the premise of the question.

Yes you do.

Because you also said:

I don’t see that inequality as any sort of problem to be solved.

A useless poll.

Make college kids hold down an evening (or morning) job and defray part of the cost of their “education”. Lot less chance to get themselves into trouble too.

That’s like choosing between eliminating gravity or magnetism.
Asking the question/poll belies gross misunderstanding about economics.

If he didn’t post and run away and actually stayed to argue one side or the other, this thread could have been very interesting.

Your post #23 is really great. Yes, my poll does indeed highlight one of the major difference between the left and the right.

I got the name "grundle" from the video game "Adventure" on the Atari 2600, which is my favorite video game of all time:

Most liberals would choose to end inequality, even if it means everyone is poor.

I think you're right, because they often complain about the income inequality in the U.S., and they never complain about the poverty in Cuba.

All of out kids held down jobs while going to school. Now, our grandkids are doing the same thing.

If nothing else, it looks good on their records when they graduate and start looking for a job.

Well, here in Flagstaff they made it illegal to be homeless...so they abolished it but did not eliminate it. Wasn’t it Jesus who said the poor will always be with us?

That’s actually an observation from Dennis Prager.

Liberals would prefer equality even of poverty over prosperity.
