President Obama has turned to his administrations regulatory authority in pursuit of key policy goals, including efforts to tackle gun violence and climate change.
Things 0bama can do nothing about.

“We fumbled” ..........
You certainly didn’t expect odumbo to say “I” (Meaning he, himself) now did you? He has never taken nor will take responsibility for anything UNLESS it make him look good. The only person odumbo cares about is himself.
In actual practice none of it mattered one iota. A little bark, and no bite whatsoever.
Why blunt Obama’s invented executive powers when we can embrace them?
How about once we have the White House, we issue blanket lifetime ObamaCare waivers to every US citizen and to every employer.
Also, we can go page by page through the federal code, EPA regs, and the IRS code and tell our supporters which laws they should follow and which they may ignore - again for the duration of whatever waivers our guy chooses to issue.
After that, we can allow our political donors to opt out of Social Security/Medicare if they wish, since laws are just suggestions subject to White House whim.
Next, well there are so many things on the list that it’s hard to know where to go from there, but we can do so much with the new ObamaPrecedent.
[Note: this is intended as sarcasm mostly, but also as a warning to the far left fringe - abandoning the rule of law may have consequences that even they will not like.]
That's a paraphrase of the other great Obama quote: "I didn't build that."
The Republicans still have the power of the purse. Why don't they just shut up and do something?
Suggestions...
(1)cut back on quantitative easing and articulate that it will raise interest savers will get on FDIC insured savings.
(2) Propose a minimum wage of $12 on the condition all jobs have to EVerify...US citizens would understand that those jobs shouldn't go to invaders.
(3)make all aspects of Obamacare optional and require that insurance companies will offer a catastrophic-only policy, and that's what could be subsidized.
(4)stop the silly talk about extending the time for unemployment benefits. People who are faced with no income just might start demanding US jobs for US citizens. There are enough jobs out there so that people could choose one in a company that has promotion opportunities from within.
(5)Rather than increasing the amount of money in the "safety net", EVerify for all government programs, including public education.
I’m with Rush Limbaugh I love a Congress than never meets. Its less BS laws that get passed.
