Just finished FEAT! It was great and I hated for it to end!

Hope Obama can end his career with a permanent vacay at a 2 acre Camp David concertina compound.

Left a review at Amazon!

I have 6 to replace. The first 3 came out great....nothing but silicone. The fourth one almost killed me, they slathered it in 5200. I had to do some gelcoat repair after I got it out. Luckily the repair is under the MR10 and sealant so I didn’t have to do all the sanding etc.
Am starting the last 2 this Friday....pray for me. I am hoping that they are just silicone.

Having a Ham operators license would also be very beneficial. How expensive is internet access getting to be on the ocean. Are the means and prices getting better?

Oh yeah and the portlights that were just put in with silicone were not leaking at all. The one with 5200 had a very small leak that I never could find. The inner board was a little damp when I finally got it out. Not enough to cause any rot etc so it must not have been leaking long.

Last photo at #12, directly behind you, is that an auto pilot?

I’ve got a 1950’s edition of Bowditch. Whenever I feel cocky and think I know everything I’ll crack it open to receive the humbling I deserve.

My days of stepping out of perfectly good airplanes are over but one that’s malf ...Adios, my dear lady or glide to a comfortable crash site. I have also learned the value of twin engines as I grew older so just maybe I’ll make a safe touchdown after all.

Interesting. Sometimes hull flexing and tortional influences will break the seals no matter what they’re made of. Good luck with your project.

Everything on a boat you start turns into a project. Not unlike a house in which a simple upgrade can easily morph into a major renovation.

I know several marine mechanics. They are never wanting for work. lol

Nice boat. Nice size for a live aboard. Your non slip is the same color ours used to be. I recently painted it a nice silver gray.

Good move! Nordhavn’s are more like little ships than boats. All weather vessels for sure. And that compliment is coming from someone who has owned two Bertrams. :)

Yep. Floors are next and then drawers. Lots and lots of drawers. I hate our floors. I already pulled out the toilet capped everything off and put in a c-head. By the way, anyone with stinky holding tanks.....I love it.

We’ve been looking at Nordhavns for about two years. Looked at eight different boats. 40s and 46s. We’ve pretty well have settled on the N46. We’re real close to buying this one.

I have survived this economic downturn by telling myself someday I will sell all I have and buy a boat and sit on it

Dont know if it will ever happen or not but it sure sounds good
