We should have known this was coming. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has warned he would do something along these lines. He has proven, in this instance, at least, that he can be trusted to do what he said he would do.

Frankly, I think all of this is sort of stupid. There are no rules. There are no laws. There is only power. We entered this brave new world quite some time ago, but it’s taken some people awhile to catch on.
November 2014 Democrats get spanked by their own paddle. Hard.
Nevada’s biggest Turd knows they only have 24 months to scam America.
He is afraid we will bring lots of feathers to go with that hot tar.
Because my buddy Barack's transformation of America isn't moving at the rate Mr. Soros, David Axlerod, Valerie Jarrett and his other handlers anticipated, we simply MUST pack the agencies and courts with more dedicated Marxists and libturds before BO's term is up. And although BO's agency heads will be removed should, allah forbid it, the pubbies take the WH in 2016, they will have had 3 years to bring in so many fellow libturds that a new administration will not be able to clean them all out.
But the courts especially here in DC are where the REAL action is! Dontcha just love that LIFETIME TENURE thing? We sure as hell do!
Oh...the finger?
Just my way of telling you Tea Party people that if you don't like it...suck on this!!
ROFLMAO!!!
Most DISrespectfully, Harry The Grinning Weasel Reid
More democracy in action.
The only reason those three democrats voted against it
was because REID already had the votes he needed!!!
...and I hope that he enjoys the heck out of it while he can, less than a year. Methinks it’s going to be “The Dark Ages” for liberals after 2014...and, if history repeats itself, I expect it to last longer that the previous era, 1980-2008.
Reid will call for another vote just before the election to return the 60 vote rule incase the Repubs win the Senate.
And if the Dems hold the Senate in 2015, they will go the nuclear option again for Obastard.
Of course, the GOP - warriors that they are - are ready to go down fightin’ and dyin’ on this one.
Repeal the 17th amendment, or as a country, we cease to exist.
harry reid, low life, mean, stupid, evil, belly crawling weasel RATZ of a j** stain on this country. This little maggot has a rubber band for a brain, and it is now stretched to the breaking point.
When he is arrested and put on trial for crimes against the Republic, this little puke will cry his eyes out. And when the executioner puts the rope around his puny, pusillanimous, pencil d**k neck, his legs will tremble and he will pee himself, sh!! his pants, and then pass out before he is sent back to the hell from whence he came.
When the 17th amendment was ratified, it changed everything.
This post of yours says more than can be explained in a novel.
The Senate has not been a supportive, deliberative body since the change to popular election of Senators. That just made it another ‘House’.
Time to return to the original intent: State legislatures select/elect the Senators, and the people (popular election) select/elect the Representatives.
As intended, the Senate was to be the voice of the States in the Federal government, and House was to be the voice of the people (and, hence, the originator of spending bills). Worked for 150 years just fine. And, then, the progressive socialists got it changed...
We learned nothing from that fiasco.
And, now we have five generations of indoctrinated citizens, groomed to believe there is no problem that can’t be solved, with just more government.
The Founders would not recognize the country, today. In fact, they would likely be calling for another revolution.
Oh Right,
BOO HOO Ball-less gelding Boehner is really going to do something other than get drunk and cry.
This stupid p****y could have gone down in history as a hero. Too bad he’s nothing more than a ball-less drunk.
Am I being too harsh?
Freepers, the Tea Party enthusiasts, and other rigid conservatives deserve some credit for all of this. They didn’t like Romney (who did?), so they either stayed away from the polls or voted for some lunatic candidate whose name cannot be recalled today. They helped to reelect Obama and perpetuate his political philosophy for another four years. It turns out that being stupid has consequences.

Video of Senator Obama at the link from when he was fighting the Republican’s trying to do away with the filibuster on April 13, 2005:
Excerpt:
Too bad President Obama no longer agrees with Senator Obama. Senator Obama also implied that those who did not support the filibuster were not patriotic because the right to free and open debate is what our Founders had in mind when they drafted the Constitution.
From Obama’s speech: “If the right of free and open debate is taken away from the minority party, then millions of Americans who ask us to be their voice if fear that the already partisan atmosphere in Washington will get be poisoned to the point that we will not be able to agree on anything and doesnt serve anybodys best interest and it certainly isnt what the Patriots who founded this democracy had in mind.”
FUBO
The GOPer senators might as well go home. Let the RATs run the senate 100%. Go home and start campaigning for 2014. Let the RATs hang themselves with their own failed policies.
