Marijuana Legalization Blossoms in Colorado
The Rants of a Mile High Maniac ^ | 11/21/13 | Jeff Jacques

Here’s another negative marijuana story from Colorado. You can expect many more. It seems nonsensical for the Feds to be concerned about illegal medical marijuana sales from non-licensed individuals when this was what the voters wanted. The Feds list 8 areas of enforcement in the story but they seem futile and ridiculous. In my opinion let non-licensed people sale it, what the heck difference does it make honestly? Let the chips fall where they may and let the rest of the states observe what a catastrophic mistake it was legalizing it.

Can you image trying to sort out this mess if your job in Colorado and Washington State was as a federal or local law enforcement agent? You talk about an impossible task; the confusion has to be mind boggling.

Maybe not today or tomorrow but eventually both states will literally be “going up in smoke” and the non-pot smoking taxpayers who opposed this madness will really be outraged at not just the monetary cost but also the terrible social consequences of legalization that will be brought down upon them.

Adults can’t make these kinds of decisions for themselves. They end up doing stupid stuff like smoking pot or not buying health insurance.

What monetary costs? What terrible social consequences? What can we do to keep the sky from falling?

End prohibition!

Legalize it all.

Spend the drug war money to treat the addicted instead of locking them all up.

Medical marijuana was legalized in California years ago. Everyone knew then that it would be made really easy for anyone who wanted to smoke marijuana legally to do so.

Some shops even have a doctor on premises at all times to hand out prescriptions if needed.

Things aren't particularly going well in the Golden State, but we're none the worse because of medical marijuana.

Good people should be told the negatives to normalizing pot to the point where these fools take their kids to potfests

legalize it all?

Like meth? krokodil for kids?

Our government would end up handing it out to kids in school and subsidizing it for those on welfare.

Just let the druggies move into camps and overdose to their hearts content.

If birth control is covered by Obamacare, shouldn't medical marijuana be covered (i.e. provided free of charge)?

BTW, I agree with you that it should be legalized and taxed.

That said, if I had a company, I would issue merit badges (with a financial payout) to those employees who tested negative for drugs.

The genie is outta the bottle and it ain’t going back in. However, lazy stoners will pay the tax instead of growing their own.

Actually krokodil is an argument for legalization. It exists only because of prohibition. If addicts could get low pharmaceutical grade opiates at cheap market prices, they wouldn’t use that crap. And nobody is advocating legalizing drugs for kids. We don’t allow kids to buy alcohol or cigarettes.

They should be handing it to all the kids in 3rd grade I guess.

Legalization of drugs is the absolute worst idea ever. The next one will be abolishing the age of consent.

It would appear this is your work. Why not post the whole thing here? As for the subject of legalization, what difference does it make? Anybody wanting to smoke it did smoke it before the voters made it legal. No net change in usage, but lots comes from legal grow shops now instead of Mexican cartels.

Libertopians are the enemy of civilization

It seems to me that the current state of our society is due to the actions of the Democrats and Republicans and the laws/regulations/policies they've enacted.

I agree. I say, ban all drugs --starting with aspirin...

Why not post the whole thing here?

Because then he/she would not make money off the clicks/impressions from the ads on his blog.
