Charity Navigator says the CEO/Executive Director of WWP, Steven Nardizzi, receives $311,538 in compensation, which is 32% of all expenses. What a crock that is. Glad this news is coming out, as I have recently become sick of the exploitative commercials used again and again, and have to mute them.

Charity Navigator also compares the overall score of several other veteran's orgs at the bottom of the page, and they don't look much better:

Wounded Warrior Project, FL - 54.39
USO of Illinois - 58.16
DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Charitable Service Trust, KY - 55.36
USO of Missouri, Inc. - 64.37
Special Operations Warrior Foundation, FL - 68.89

The same page also provides a link to highly-rated vets aid orgs at the very bottom, but you have to be a registered user to access it.

“DAV (Disabled American Veterans) “

DAV in Colorado fired a Vietnam veteran, whose was their transportation manager, and his wife, who was their regional director, and replaced them with two illegal aliens. DAV in Colorado has history of hiring illegal aliens while claiming they hire veterans.

Good data you have there!

A number of years ago, I interviewed for Director of Data Processing at DAV in their Northern KY Headquarters.

I was shocked that 90-95% of all the staff were in some way employed in the direct mail departments. The rest- the people that did something for veterans - were all shoved into one small office in one corner of that huge building.

I knew then that DAV was a scam. I was so disappointed, I’m sure that it showed through the rest of the interviews.

Interesting that WWP and DAV show about the same rate of overhead. I’m sure they are artificially fluffing their charitable work.
