On Saturday, police in Denver arrested Juventino Hernandez-Vazquez, 36, after he crashed head-on into another vehicle, killing one person and critically injuring two others.
The wreck occurred around 4:30 a.m. on South Federal Boulevard, according to police.
Police have not released the name of the deceased at this time.
Hernandez-Vazquez has been charged with vehicular homicide and vehicular assault, and is being held without bail.

This is not Hernandez-Vazquez's first run-in with the law...

According to public court records examined by 7NEWS, Hernandez-Vazquez has had other aliases, and had a previous DUI in 2001, a DUI hit-and-run crash in 2005 in Denver and then an assault and resisting arrest charge in Denver in 2009. Of course, Denver has been a 'sanctuary city' for many years, as such, illegal aliens are rarely reported to federal authorities.
In 1998, then-Mayor Wellington Webb issued Executive Order 116, which among other things ordered city officials to "vigorously preserve the legal rights of all of its residents." And, decried the deportation of illegal aliens by the federal government.
Sometime afterward, the Denver Police Police Manual was changed to read:

The charge "Hold For Immigration" will be lodged against a prisoner only when a warrant has been issued by the U.S. Department of Justice, or an agency thereof, and then only when the warrant is on an immigration matter. Though 'sanctuary cities' were banned by the Colorado legislature in 2006, the legislation has had little practical effect on ending the protections extended to illegal aliens in Denver.
One of those who became a victim of that city's sanctuary policy, was 43-year-old Denver Police Det. Donald Young.
On May 8, 2005, Det. Young was working at an event hall when he was shot to death in an unprovoked attack by Raul Garcia-Gomez.
The Mexican national had already been arrested three times when he murdered Det. Young, but because of Denver’s 'sanctuary policy' he was never reported to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Garcia-Gomez actually worked at a restaurant owned by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, who has been a longtime champion of sanctuary policies and amnesty legislation.
Young left behind a wife and three children. Brendan Curran, pastor at St. Pius V Parish, a member of the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR), which organized the protest. Where are these same pastors and supporters who go on and on about about families will never include this family in saying tell illegal aliens to stop driving drunk and "Stop playing politics, stop messing with our families, we are being destroyed and enough is enough. This would be front page news and illegal aliens and their supporters would stage rallies all across America about this poor family.Not so with American families.Being held without bail means nothing. Same thing happened here locally..an illegal alien crashed his car into a bus stop in East Los Angeles injuring a man and a pregnant woman..he got out of his car, took his little kid and bailed..turns out he’s here illegally, surprise surprise/sarc but hey according to Jerry Brown and McCain, we should not only give these schmucks drivers licenses but Amnesty too, hey what can possibly go wrong
These guys do the same here in the great state of Texas and we are doing nothing to protect our borders! Will it change when enough of our citizens die? One is too many!

The families should start suing these so called sanctuary cites for failure to enforce laws on the books that led to the wrongful death or injury of a family member.

A drunk illegal ran over a little girl here, made bail and then high-tailed it back to Mexico. They should have strapped the defense attorney, deputy prosecutor and judge to the front of his car.
Actually, the reason why Dems love illegals so much is because illegals would guarantee that Dems have power forever..give them amnesty and free Govt goodies and they will forever be the slaves of the Dem party..the Rat party wont have to rig elections anymore, they could win legit with 20 million new illegal alien voters..that is why the Dems kiss their asses and want to give them every Govt goodie they can put in their grubby little hands
If something like this happens to my family, I will be at the front gate of the jail upon the felons release and he won’t have to worry about making an apperance except at some funeral home.
Just before my dad, a cop, died he told me you are now the man of the family. Anything happens to any of the women here, don’t wait for the police or courts to take care of it, they won’t, you do it. Fortunately have not had to follow that order.
If Mayor Wellington Webb who issued Executive Order 116 hasn’t been dealt with by the residents of the city then who are we to complain?

Private persons and entities may initiate civil suits to obtain injunctions and treble damages against enterprises that conspire to or actually violate federal alien smuggling, harboring, or document fraud statutes, under the Racketeer-Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO). The pattern of racketeering activity is defined as commission of two or more of the listed crimes. A RICO enterprise can be any individual legal entity, or a group of individuals who are not a legal entity but are associated in fact, and can include nonprofit associations.
Here’s what I’ve been pushing: it’s time to file Racketeering, Influencing, and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) lawsuits.
RICO lawyers could turn it around in a few years and MAKE MONEY at the same time. I’m surprised they haven’t done it already.
In the absence of enforcement, we can get the word out in the meantime that there is money to be made in filing RICO lawsuits against employers who hire illegal aliens like this jerk.
Employers would have no trouble shutting down the border if they could get sued by someone under the RICO statutes for hiring these people in the first place. The next time an illegal alien kills someone in a drunk driving accident or somesuch thing, I’m going to point out that the victim’s family might be able to seek compensation from the employer under these statutes in the hopes that it would catch on. If this did catch on, would see such a swift backlash against illegal immigration that no employer would go near these people and they’ll all simply want to go back home.
My good friend and neighbor lost his sister-in-law and toddler nephew to a drunk illegal-alien driver a couple of years ago. Rendered them bloody splotches on the highway pavement. My friend has a framed picture of his brother’s family on a desk, which I see each time I visit.
A few blocks away from us is where a teen honor-student on his bike was run down and killed, by two illegals who had just robbed a quickie-mart and were fleeing. Several blocks further is where a mother and daughter coming home from church got smashed into and killed by yet another drunk illegal.
Personally, I’d like to wrap my fingers around the necks of every damned politician that has left the borders so wide open, and even worse, now want to reward the illegals with amnesty. I’d like to pay each and every one of them back, regardless of Dem or GOP. Damn them to darkest, hottest places in hell for what they have done.
They never did recapture the illegal Mexican that hit my uncle head on drunk and killed him 2 years earlier he hit a woman driving drunk and crippled her for life ....
He was in the hospital after hitting my uncle and just walked away .....
May the illegals only harm liberals and their children.

I never ever used to believe that money was the root of all evil and for the most part, I still do not. But damn, these guys are making a good case for those who believe that.
