When criminals with a long history of burglary are caught in the act, the AP is very careful to call them "alleged" burglars. When a gun owner is spotted by a hoplophobe and denounced to the local authorities, the "alleged" adjective is nowhere to be seen.
"Man pulls out unloaded gun, causes panic at LAX"
In spite of ambiguity in the police report:
Airport police Sgt. Karla Ortiz said the man either took out the gun or a gun carrying case around 9 p.m. Friday.the headline leaves no doubt about the illegitimacy of the act of being a gun owner. No details about how many people responded to the person who transferred some valuable and sensitive personal property from luggage where he was required to place it by law, to somewhere else that made more sense to him.
And when the riots start like in Londodn all these panzies will be ordering bats from amazon.com
Holder’s brainwashing against guns is working, at least in ‘rat zone LA.
What happened to the story about the TSA shooter at LAX from 2-weeks ago? It sure disappeared quickly.
So, it sounds like some passenger was checking a piece of luggage for air transport and in the process had to take the firearm out of the luggage for inspection and tagging prior to loading?
No, It appears that he was checking it to be sure it was still there after he arrived.
In the story, it says that he properly declared it before he boarded.
This story just seems too foreign to me. I get it that some people are afraid of guns, but I feel like I live in different world. Just yesterday my neighbor walked down the street with his AR and a new barrel when he came over to my house to use my torque wench and barrel nut tool. He was late coming over because he was stopped twice by other neighbors on the way. They didn’t stop him out of fear, they wanted to talk guns.
As predicted, the gun owner in LA was cleared of any wrongdoing.

Just think how much better our nation would be if after 9/11 the response was to allow law abiding gun owners to carry their weapons onto airplanes ... a hell of a lot less expensive that the TSA.
Never did hear any more about that guy.
