The Moment Mike's America Interrupts President Reagan
Political Realities ^ | 11/09/13 | Mike Miller

I'll just share one more memory of a real leader before I get back to my regular programming....

Keep the memory of Reagan alive and we can win again!

I've told the story of working in the Reagan White House many times. But this is the first time I have shared this memory. 25 years ago on Wednesday, November 9, 1988 White House staff gathered in the Rose Garden to cheer the President as he walked to the Oval Office in the morning after the big win for George H.W. Bush in the presidential election which cemented the legacy of the Reagan Revolution.

The people had spoken. They liked what Reagan did for them and they wanted more. And who could blame them? It wasn't just that Reagan clearly expressed a sincere and genuine concern for the American people. His conservative polices actually ended up helping people. Compare that to the "I care" rhetoric and negative results from today's incumbent.

Then serving in the White House Political Office, Mike's America was there that cool fall morning. And remembering many of the campaign events where President Reagan implored the crowd to "win one more for the Gipper," I gave a shout out "that's one for the Gipper" to the President at the 1:23 mark in the video:

Ronald Regan

Despite all the disappointments over the past few years, the spirit of the Reagan Revolution remains alive today. To restore what's been lost over the past few years won't be easy. But it is necessary and we must and will ultimately prevail and "WIN ONE MORE FOR THE GIPPER!"

Ronald Reagan , one of the great ones.

I always remember how they said that Ronald Reagan did not micro-manage his people, but let them take care of things.

That is the mark of a great leader—being smart enough to pick great people , and then let them do their job.

Too bad the dipstick in the WH now hasn’t got a clue.

When you place a fool in an important job he will make a fool of you.

Thanks for posting this.

The video showed Reagan as he really was. Clever, humble, full of humor, and full of praise for those who worked for him.

None of the “I did this, and then I did that" garbage we get from the current occupier of the White House.

Oh, and one more thing. Many lib's are currently peddling the smear that Reagan was declining mentally during his second term. This video should put an end to that slander.

Especially since Reagan made his comments off the cuff, and without any teleprompter.

I'd like to see Obama attempt such a thing today. You'd get little more than “uh’s” and “er’s”.

Having a clue isn’t really his issue. It’s his true agenda and his need for plausible deniability that make him look clueless.

Well, winning one for the Gipper was possible back then, before the Rats had perfected their voter fraud system. Now, with illegals and felons voting, multiple voting, motor voter, etc., it may not be possible ever again.
