In most countries, a funeral is a somber affair. People are sad about the loss of their loved one, and nobody likes to say goodbye to their friends and loved ones for the last time.

I dunno, I think I could actually ask for something similarly unusual to be done at at my funeral. Not one of my friends or family members would be at all surprised, and it likely would make them smile, recalling what an odd duck I am.

I remember when my father died, at his wake I spent the whole night standing 10 feet from his open coffin joking and laughing with friends and family. People appreciate that.

I always liked the New Orleans style of funerals... somber music on the way to the cemetary, party music on the way home. Got all yer bases covered that way.
