On Tuesday, Mediaite White House correspondent Tommy Christopher added another chapter to his ongoing self-promotional crusade masquerading as a career in journalism.
And this time, it didn’t involve a shameless ploy to be an invited guest on whatever incarnation of Chris Hayes’ show MSNBC is currently airing.
During Tuesday’s White House briefing on Tuesday, Christopher, whose name isn’t really “Tommy Christopher,” asked a question about President Barack Obama’s health-care reform law that incorporated his personal experiences with health insurance after his 2010 heart attack.

The patient-journalist (not to be confused with a “patient journalist,” which would be another thing entirely) is Tommy Christopher, who is a media writer and White House correspondent for Mediaite.com, Asylum.com and DailyDose.us.
Late Saturday, Tommy tweeted:
•Ate dinner at the Mos Eisley Cantina. Enjoyed the pasta, but the wookie was chewy.
Very funny.
Sometime around 6 p.m. EDT Sunday, Tommy suddenly tweeted:
•I gotta be me. Livetweeting my heart attack. Beat that!
Followed shortly by…
•Paramedics think I will live.
•Gonna get a cardiac cat. Jeez, I’m old. This is depressing.
•This is not like the movies. Most deadpan heart attack evar.
•Still hurts even after the morphine.
•Ok, taking a break now.
Sometime around 4 a.m. EDT today, Tommy tweeted:
•Awww! Just got phone back from nurse. You guys attacked my heart…with love!
•To everyone who said “are you serious?” I belatedly reply “As a heart attack!”
