It may be "just a glitch", but here's what the Baltimore mayor had to say:

“I am deeply disturbed by incidents of EBT cards being declined here in Baltimore City and around the country,” Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said in a statement. “At a time when economic anxiety is already high given the budget shenanigans in Washington, denying access to food for low income families seems particularly cruel. We will be ready to provide any resources we can locally to help families get access to food until this problem is resolved.

Notice she does not lay the blame on a glitch, and while not directly blaming the shutdown, that's certainly the idea she intends to be the takeaway.

Oh, puh-leeeeeeeeeeze!!! Just like the conspiracy theorists on this thread, she seems to believe this glitch was deliberate. Just like those glitch-ridden ACA web sites, this was bound to happen.

(Then again, she IS from Marxyland)
