Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) said police who arrested him Tuesday by the Capitol Police than I was,” Rangel said on FOX Business Network Friday. Rangel was one of several Democratic lawmakers arrested by U.S. Capitol Police at an immigration reform rally on the National Mall.
“I think they were trying to help me, but the cuffs were so tight that when I said loosen up the cuffs — and I wasn’t cursing then — in an attempt to loosen it up, one of the rookie cops actually tightened it,” he said. “And then when I said would you cut the damn cuffs off and put on new cuffs, he told me he didn’t have a cutter. “They do the best they can under the circumstances, and it reminded me how other people who are not members of Congress can and should not be treated,” Rangel said. Democratic Reps. John Lewis (Ga.), Luis Gutiérrez (Ill.), Raúl Grijalva (Ariz.), Joseph Crowley (N.Y.), Keith Ellison (Minn.), Al Green (Texas) and Jan Schakowsky (Ill.) were also detained by Capitol Police at the rally. Nearly 200 people were arrested during the protest for crowding and causing disruption to streets near the Capitol complex.

I hope some of those 200 get deported. But it’s DC so I guess that hope is not going to be fulfilled.

I imagine a lot of people are cross right now at our present descent into third world ridiculousness. Even Capitol cops who have seen just about everything D.C. there is to see and somehow have resisted going to the looney bin over it. So yeah, Congresscritter, you’re just another trouble maker to us now. Git along.

Usually the only time Charlie feels something around his wrists is when his hand is in the taxpayers pocket.
If the cop could tighten them more, then they weren’t really tight to begin with.
Great example here you´ve given us, to cross barriers that the National Park people have set up to keep us out.
