Does this mean that the White House realizes that they are under siege?
It is nearly impossible to be satirical nowadays.
Unless the story involves liberal politicians disguised as aliens who eat the brains of babies, it is almost impossible to tell.
And even then...
Posse Comitatus?
What makes anyone think that O’B will obey any of our laws, his unicorns and
skittles promises during his campaigns, or his oath of office?
So far, his track record says “NO” loud and clear.
That is alot 'better' than a few years ago. When the Pres took over the National Guard[pdf]. Lol.
I’m scratching my head. Obastard is afraid some truckers may clog up the beltway and prevent travel, so he’s going to close the beltway himself to prevent travel?
I’m so confused.
I understand.
If you read the news too often, one can become “a little crazy”.
I will leave it to the mods to discontinue this thread; if they deem there is little to discuss, I hope they pull it—
I admit, when I saw this, I DID react with an incredible rise in blood pressure, because what USED to be unbelieveable is NOW believeable with this administration—NOTHING surprises me anymore.
I apologize if I’ve mislead.
And with the media to fly cover for him, he is probably temped to get away with whatever he can.
IIRC less than 10% of trucking companies are union. The only ones that really come to mind are drivers for grocery distribution companies. Teamsters represent nurses anymore. They tried to organize them in our local hospital, unsuccessfully.
Since Interstate 495 is clearly a federal roadway, report our DOT sources, and the federal government is now closed because of the crazy House of Representatives Republicans, it is within the purview of the federal government to add it to the list of government properties that are closed and may not be used by citizens.
"Crazy?" This has to be satire, nobody could have said that.
But Officer, I’m only trying to deliver this truckload of orange cones to the White House.
Well, someone should use their brains before the write things like this. Posting it is informative, if for nothing more than revealing that there are people even at places like RedState that have a screw loose.
Anyway, not posting would spoil the fun of ridicule.
Assuming the rumor is true, what is King Bammy’s legal authority for calling up the the National Guard without a request from the affected states?
> Unlikely as Nat.Guard would need state gov to approve
> unless they are Activated into fed service at which point
> the Posse Comitatus Act would be in play.
Law means nothing to the thugocracy oppressing our nation, except as a means of oppressing their enemies.
The only way for laws to be enforced that are intended to protect the people from the rogue government is for police, military, and agencies to stop obeying illegal orders from the Thug-in-Chief and his apparatchiks.
I don’t see that happening any time soon.
LOL...that explains some of the actions I see from people who profess to having CNN on 24x7.
But, you did say “the news”...so that might not count.
I have not watched a televised news broadcast in nearly a decade, at least.
As if there are no alternate routes.
My assumption would be that somebody with the ability to divert from their route for a protest like this may be an independent driver/owner....but I really don’t know.
sad I may agree with you
Maybe someone should remind him how well sending the National Guard to Kent State worked.
Civics lesson: the National Guard is the organized militia of the several states and is under the control of each state governor. Unless by executive order the president federalize particular units, he’d have to rely upon governors (who have to answer to their own citizens and legislatures) to make it happen. I might note that except for a portion of I-95 running on the Wilson Bridge all of I-95/I-495 lies outside of the District of Columbia.
