I watched a part of this yesterday, via archive on CSPAN. At the beginning, Issa put a pretty good smackdown on the dimwit Cummings.
There were some IRS folks present besides the witness. When the email mentioned in the article came up, Issa asked if one of them could run back to their office and bring the unredacted original. When they did not respond, he directed his staff to make a call and said he wanted delivery before the hearing adjourned.
It is maddening that this is getting lost in the shutdown uproar.
The shutdown fiasco.....may have been....designed...in order to provide media cover come to think of it.
The Saturday Truck Convoy To D.C. may convince the media to pay a BIT more attention.
