I don’t know of Stalin ever changing anything

I think he might have changed wives once or twice.

Figure out where the natural gas, coal, refineries, oil reserves, grain supplies reside. Those on the receiving end are very much dependent on non-local resources. Whom is most dependent on scheduled delivery in preventing unrest in large dense populations? Just-in-time operations are often interdependent, thus vulnerable to unplanned for consequences of a failure elsewhere. Many small disparate incidents of “bad luck” sometimes take on a life of their own and require great effort and time to reconcile. “We are sorry you have no heat, electricity, ect. but are working on restoring service as soon as possible” (:>)

“It’s not worth much at all, actually. It begins with the premise that we are on the precipice of a ‘default’ on our national debt loan (i.e., making the interest payment).

We are nowhere near that at all even with a complete budget stall. The US takes in nearly $250B in tax revenues each month...this is more than 10 times than what is needed to service the interest on the debt ($220B/year).

What this shutdown does, however is force Obama into a position to where he would have to prioritize the spending for what is left, but not total chaos like that described in this missive. “

Government employees are the biggest drag on the system.

How under the law would someone annex a state? Against their will or without their expressed permission?

Nice story though.

Tarred and feathered?? What will be the price of a well-built guillotine? Or just a rope?

This could also be drawn up by the 2012 census of Household Median Income which would pretty much redraw some old battle lines and old wounds of our Nation. This list would included from lowest to highest: 16. Mississippi, 15. West Virginia, 14. Arkansas, 13. Kentucky, 12. Alabama, 11. Tennessee, 10. Louisiana, 9. South Carolina, 8. New Mexico, 7. Oklahoma, 6. Idaho, 5. North Carolina, 4. Montana, 3. Florida, 2. Missouri, 1.Ohio.

Er, yes, to be sure. We Idahoans recall the day when we made a stand against Lee and Stuart and Sheridan at the Battle of Piss Ant Butte. Those Wehrmacht boys were tough but we sent 'em home crying to Emperor Palpatine.

“.....But Texas remains one state that is still classified as a “Republic” and is one of the only states that can fly its flag at the same level as the US flag. ....”

I googled thisby phrase, and it looks like Brandon’s article was first; other blogs picked up on it later....

Anybody got input as to this snippet about some states’ flags being allowed to be at same height as the u.s. one?
