ACORN’s former CEO Bertha Lewis urged Africans-Americans to support increased immigration as a strategy to gain political power.
“We got some Latino cousins, we got some Asian cousins, we got some Native-American cousins, we got all kind of cousins,” said Lewis, who spoke Thursday at the annual political conference of the Congressional Black Caucus.
“Cousins need to get together because if we’re going to be [part of the non-white] majority, it makes sense for black people in this country to get down with immigration reform,” said Lewis, whose ACORN group was formally disbanded in 2010 after a series of scandals.
Lewis did not mention solidarity with whites in her appeal for power.
“Everyone, even all white folks in this country, acknowledge that in a minute, [the] United States of America will be a new majority, will be majority minority, a brand-new thing,” she said.
In 2012, “for the first time ever in history, African-Americans outvoted white Americans. Oooh. That’s the fear of the white man. That could change everything. That’s why [immigration] should matter to us,” she declared.
Lewis got only modest applause from the room of 300 attendees, nearly all of whom were black.
But her appeal for non-white solidarity was backed up by New York Democratic Rep. Yvette Clarke.

Bertha Lewis is that the one that gave a speech in 2008 saying, they must vote for Obama so they can get George Bush out of the White House ?

It’s not going to increase black power. It will diminish it. Win the Latino vote and it’s game over for blacks.
Most Latinos have some Christian values and are willing to work. I don’t know what happened to black’s family values. It sure doesn’t translate to the voting booths.
Blacks at one time supported Republicans. It won’t take near as much to get Latinos to change their support to Republican candidates in the future — especially when the US government is broke and cannot continue to buy votes.
If the Latinos gain such power, the blacks can then be largely ignored. Screw white guilt and the extortion we receive from minority groups.

Blacks have been decimated here in Los Angeles with the massive influx by Latinos over the last 30 years. They have been shoved to the backseat.
At least someone is being honest about the USA’s immigration policy’s true objective.
I just don’t get by far the majority of Black churches and so called Christians. Is it just that they are naive or stupid or lack the ability to think and act independently of the collective? 90% and up easily vote in block for anti-Christian values every chance they can get. When I drive by black churches as a Christian myself I hate to think there is a group of people that likely despise me for the color of my skin and would not really accept me as God and Jesus do. I’m wasting my breath as I realize it’s mankinds natural inclination to be ethnos versus ethnos or tribal. Individually I know plenty of outstanding black people but as a group - I’m at a loss for words; and its not that they that haven’t been said before. Useful idiots willfully led by false shepherds and false prophets and grifters. The very things that God hates are often on sale at churches and especially black churches.
