ACORN’s former CEO Bertha Lewis urged Africans-Americans to support increased immigration as a strategy to gain political power.
“We got some Latino cousins, we got some Asian cousins, we got some Native-American cousins, we got all kind of cousins,” said Lewis, who spoke Thursday at the annual political conference of the Congressional Black Caucus.
“Cousins need to get together because if we’re going to be [part of the non-white] majority, it makes sense for black people in this country to get down with immigration reform,” said Lewis, whose ACORN group was formally disbanded in 2010 after a series of scandals.
Lewis did not mention solidarity with whites in her appeal for power.
“Everyone, even all white folks in this country, acknowledge that in a minute, [the] United States of America will be a new majority, will be majority minority, a brand-new thing,” she said.
In 2012, “for the first time ever in history, African-Americans outvoted white Americans. Oooh. That’s the fear of the white man. That could change everything. That’s why [immigration] should matter to us,” she declared.
Lewis got only modest applause from the room of 300 attendees, nearly all of whom were black.
But her appeal for non-white solidarity was backed up by New York Democratic Rep. Yvette Clarke.

“The next day after we pass it, you know we’re not going to be satisfied, we’re going to come back,” he said. “We’re going to have a civil rights act, we’re going to have a voting rights act… Nobody is leaving this fight once we conclude this first chapter,” he said.
“Hopefully, in 30 years, [we] can bring immigrants… from all over the world,” Gutierrez said.
this about says it all towards what his real motives are and what his goals are..the taxpayers have to pay him to attack us and ruin our country.
Lewis needs to learn to speak Spanish.

Rather than seeing each other as cousins, some of the most racist anti-black statements I've heard have come from Hispanics and Asians. If anything, adding immigrants will weaken blacks' position.

We need a 20-year moratorium on ALL immigration. 20 years should give us time to get some sensible immigration laws in place. Also give us time to expel all illegals.
This racist clown needs to take a look at what happens to blacks in majority hispanic societies vs what happens to blacks in majority white societies.

It’s happening right before their eyes and they cannot see it. Perhaps because they don’t want jobs in the first place, just a welfare check and food stamps.
Well it should have been obvious all along that mass immigration would bring in and was bringing in people who would never support the ostensibly conservative party. Most people in the world are natural Democrats.
If reason, logic, and common sense weren’t enough to recognize this, then consistent voting results should have made it obvious. And if that weren’t enough, then the now increasingly open boasting by people like Gutierrez and this ACORN creature that mass immigration will give the Left permanent power, should have removed all doubt.
But despite the overwhelming and undeniable reality, our party leaders have either through cowardice, or family/personal reasons, or sheer stupidity bought into the cult of Diversity and never ending mass immigration. We were cursed with two Bush presidents, and even Reagan was seemingly oblivious to what was brewing. Now...well, I don’t know what can be done. Our next nominee is likely to be no better, and the choice will likely once again be between unending mass immigration versus even more unending mass immigration.
It’s simply amazing though that the far-Left kooks are now so confident that they can so openly boast about this. They have absolutely no fear that the still majority opposition to the monstrous increases in immigration they want to unleash can be channeled against them at the ballot box. And they’re right to be confident; the media is completely on their side (remaining virtually silent about how Schumer-Rubio would massively increase legal immigration), and the GOP is fatally split.
Oh man we need some Somalians and Zimbabweans and some South Africans and some Rwandans and some Ethiopians and some black Yemenese... that should just about do it.

The logical and historical conclusion to Lewis/Gutierrez game plan is an American government like the District of Columbia government - corrupt, incompetent, racist, insolvent.
I don’t doubt what you say about sentiments expressed by Hispanics and Asians towards blacks, but politically speaking they are cousins, very close cousins. They all favor the Democrats by wide margins.
It may be that as Hispanics’ numbers surge past blacks that the power of blacks within the Democrat/Left coalition will weaken, but in terms of policy it won’t matter all that much because a Hispanic-dominated Democratic party will support and implement the same policies favored by the blacks. The Democrats will still push to take money from whites and give it to all non-whites. The Democrats will still use racial preferences for all non-whites (except some Asians) in college admissions, public hiring, and public contracting.
So it may not be black Democrats at the forefront pushing these things, but the results will largely be the same.
