History professors give Obama B- because he’s just not liberal enough
Daily Caller ^ | 09/18/2013 | Eric Owens

George Mason University’s History News Network (HNN) recently asked a few hundred American historians to give President Barack Obama letter grades in 15 different categories.

Just over 200 historians responded to the email survey. Now the grades are averaged and tabulated: Obama gets a mediocre B-.

Many participating academics included comments to explain their grades (a practice HNN encouraged). Based on those comments, the general scholarly consensus is that Obama just hasn’t moved the country far enough to the left.

Really illustrates how many “history” professors need to be digging ditches instead of lying to young minds.

Well this lowly community college history instructor did not get that email, but I give Obama a F-.

I received two textbooks for review today from a publisher that were written by some of these lefties. Pure unadulterated garbage pretending to be American history. In essence they claim that the entire existence of the United States has been marked by class struggle. For instance, the Constitution was written to limit democracy so that the propertied elite could have their will, and exploit the minorities and the little guy. Everything can be explained, so is the claim, by rich v. poor, white v. black, corporations v. workers and so on and on. Tomorrow I will either send the books back or throw them in the dumpster. You need not read more than a few paragraphs before this revisionism makes you want to puke.

There is one over-riding reality I’ve been able to take away from the score bestowed upon Zero of a B- by historians. That they are either deliberate mendacious manipulators who would lie simply to protect someone who share in with their own putrid philosophy, have zero credibility to speak on such weighty matters or that they are hopelessly brain-dead to score Zero a B- When a Failing grade is much more in line with his record.

“... general scholarly consensus...” Now there’s an oxymoron phrase.

Had they dug ditches before they became professors I bet they would have a different opinion. I hate these bastards so much I no longer participate in their conferences or events. Most of academia has simply gone to hell.

Don’t let your kids get within a country mile of a history professor! Or an English professor. Or any of the social studies’ losers. In fact, if my kid came to me and told me he wanted to study history and asked for my financial help doing it, I’d have to think long and hard about it. If it’s not math, science or engineering, the answer might be, “No, have you ever thought about the Culinary Institute of America, or some other trade school?”

You could wipe your a$$ on a few pages and send 'em back.

You think they'd notice?

Quoth CC at your link:

“Fifteen years from now more than half of the universities will be in bankruptcy, including the state schools. In the end, I am excited to see that happen.”

As am I.
