He did not register because he was not a citizen at the time.
Later he decided he was a citizen, but was then too old to register. Case closed.

If true, God has heard Freepers prayers worldwide !
You can lose your citizenship for not registering to SS, who lots of men have not done that.
I thought you just went to jail.
If he registered he would not be able to get “Foreign Student Aid”.
I didn’t have to. Born in ‘59.
The year "80" on the postal date stamp was derived from a "2008" stamp where the "08" was flipped to make "80". This also explains why there's no "19" with the "80".
Also, why is the postal date stamp one day prior to 0bama signing it?
Barry Soetoro was in Indonesia at that time, right?
You don’t lose citizenship by no signing up for selective service. You lose federal student loans and a few other minor things.
I don’t think you can get a federal paycheck if you did not register if required.
He is patently not a NBC given his longstanding claim of his daddy having been Kenyan. I know nothing about the author’s theory of granddaddy Dunham. If there’s anything to it, it needs some evidence please. I doubt it if only because of the racial aspect. The Indonesian citizenship has never received sufficient discussion, IMHO. But it is there and probably explains the trip to Pakistan too. Finally, if he is an American citizen at all, I don’t know that said status is lost for a selective service violation. The usual result is residency in gaol, of course, and not in the White House. Truly we live in “interesting times “. . And how the entire judicial system can so invalidate itself by refusing to do its job in this matter is both amazing and Damniing indeed. We Americans always thought we lived in a nation of law. Alas, pray for America.
Although I’m not 100% certain I’d bet the clothes on my back that you can’t lose your *US citizenship* yy not registering. It seems possible that you could lose your Green Card by failing to do so but not citizenship. That’s not to say that there aren’t penalties. But given several SCOTUS decisions over the last 40-50 years it’s very,*very* difficult to lose one’s US citizenship short of formally renouncing it.
Everyone already knows that the problems IS NOT the birth certificate- it is that he is not a citizen.
It will go nowhere.
Sorry.
So what’s your point. All the babble about O hasn’t removed him from office. And as far as I can see from the judiciary, he will serve out this term (no one in congress has the spine to impeach and find him guilty). The only question left is will he leave office at the end of his term or follow his buddy Hugo Chavez into elected once served for life
“LOST his citizenship by not registering for Selective Service”
Good grief, get a life. You don’t lose citizenship status by not registering.
You birthers need to stay a bit more real world.
Not sure you can lose your citizenship for not registering, but it IS a crime.
That Obama has a very dubious birth record is certainly an issue. That there is a more compelling situation as to Obama does not negate the importance of the birth record. It does add to the record showing Obama is a fraudulent POTUSA. I suspect there are others.
I'm not seeing it... this azz could commit murder on national television and all he'd have to do is blame anyone but himself and the MSM and his obama phone supporters would buy it. Courts will never take this to where it needs to go. The "system" as they say is beyond broken. If it wasn't this POS would have been shot by a firing squad for treason.
CLICKIn 1980, men who knew they were required to register and did not do so could face up to five years in jail or a fine up to $50,000 if convicted. The potential fine was later increased to $250,000. Despite these possible penalties, government records indicate that from 1980 through 1986 there were only 20 indictments, of which 19 were instigated in part by self-publicized and self-reported non-registration.[28] As one of the elements of the offense, the government must prove that a violation of the Military Selective Service Act was knowing and willful. This is almost impossible unless the prospective defendant has publicly stated that he knew he was required to register or report for induction, or unless he has been visited by the FBI, personally served with notice to register or report for induction, and given another chance to comply. The last prosecution for non-registration was in January 1986, after which many believed the government declined to continue enforcing that law when it became apparent that the trials were themselves causing a decline in registration[citation needed]. Routine checks requiring identification virtually never include a request for draft card.
As an alternative method of encouraging or coercing registration, federal legislators passed laws requiring that to receive financial aid, federal grants and loans, certain government benefits, eligibility for most federal employment, and (if the person is an immigrant) eligibility for citizenship, a young man had to be registered (or had to have been registered, if they are over 26 but were required to register between 18 and 26) with Selective Service. Those who were required to register, but failed to do so before they turn 26, are no longer allowed to register, and thus may be permanently barred from federal jobs and other benefits, unless they can show to the Selective Service that their failure was not knowing and willful.[6] There is a procedure to provide an "information letter" by the SSS for those in these situations, for example recent citizens who entered the US after their 26th birthday.[29]
