Even the most dangerous cities in America can have relatively safe neighborhoods, as there is more variation in crime within most cities than between cities. But using exclusive data developed by NeighborhoodScout, and based on FBI data from all 17,000 local law enforcement agencies in America, we here report those specific neighborhoods in America that have the highest predicted rates of violent crime per 1,000 neighborhood residents of all. Violent crimes include murder, forcible rape, armed robbery, and aggravated assault. These neighborhoods are the epicenters of violence in America, where social issues are likely to ignite into violence and spread.

Kinda hard to believe that Watts or Compton in the L.A. area didn’t even get an honorable mention, let alone a ribbon.....

Detroit wins hands down by placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd!

Hand that collectivist mayor a trophy!

Would all 25 qualify as havens of diversity?

No MLK, Jr. streets mentioned. Why is that?

Picking one at random:

In the 8th Ave S / Wedgewood Ave neighborhood in Nashville, TN, residents most commonly identify their ethnicity or ancestry as German (4.3%). There are also a number of people of English ancestry (3.6%) , and residents who report Mexican roots (1.8%) , and some of the residents are also of Asian ancestry (1.5%) , along with some Irish ancestry residents (1.3%), among others.

12.5% mentioned. Wonder who the other 87.5% are?

Detroit also took 7th, Saginaw, 10th, and Flint, 19th.

Illinois made it to the 4th, 13th, 14th, 16th, and 25th spots this year.

Gee, the Mayor of Windsor, ON, right across the river is a collectivist, and the whole place is run by unions, to boot. Even so, the only way to be a victim in Windsor is if you accidentally trip and fall at the annual rose festival.

Are you sure it's the politics?

That's true. John Conyers is delinquent on his taxes on several homes in Detroit but you can bet the house he lives in is a decent neighborhood.

Tulsa is 24th, the list is in reverse order. Sad to see my Grandpas old hood listed as the most dangerous place NOT in Detroit.

I guarantee all the “hoods” listed in Memphis and Houston are primarily black. I see Sheila Jackson Lee made the cut.
