it really is quite amusing to make up headlines and post them as if they were real news. I really wish you would stop. I am a serious reader and these things always make me look and I think it is disingenuous to make people check the byline to see if it is real or not. I guess the first time they did it nobody said anything so now a new satire piece pops up every day. Maybe whoever posts these would be so kind as to put the word satire in front of the headline so I can just skip over it. Judging from the comments after the article I am not the only one being fooled. Just so you know, I refuse to read a single one because I don’t like being played for a fool.

It is obvious that this person whoever he is and from wherever he came knows very little about USA government and the Constitution. As much as he thinks otherwise and hopes otherwise the States by original agreement are not totally subject to the Federal government. This guy demonstrates why it is crucial to our Nation and It’s Constitution to stand up and say to the UN to keep its ‘new world order’ goals off limits for the USA; Bush1 notwithstanding.

This satire thing is just about indistinguishable from reality.

The UN is still operating under the quaint philosophy of “Devine Right of Morons and Azzholes”.

They now think that because America somehow slid back into that mode and elected one who qualifies in BOTH categories, we will now roll over.

Come get ‘em!

It’s amazing how easy it now is to believe this kind of scenario as real.

Dear UN,
You parasites of the West have overstayed your welcome in this country.

Satire is a long-standing and time honored form of political communication. And in some respects it may be more effective than plain statements of fact. It’s like John Wayne once said, you can say anything you want, as long as you say it in a story. And that’s what satire is. What disturbs me far more than the satire is the fact that even plainly labeled satire trips up so many here on FR, the online conservative flagship news source. We are constantly weeding through the deceptions of the left, but we can’t pick it up when we’re handed some legitimate satire? Shame on us.

Y’know, if Al Qaeda wants to make up with us, they can try flying a plane-load of civil rights lawyers, activists and “community organizers” into the UN building...

Verene Shepherd, chief of the UN Working Group of Experts of People of African Descent, expressed alarm at “the irresponsible proliferation of weapons fostered by misguided, so-called state governments” and demanded that “President Obama use his powers as Commander-in-Chief to nullify these affronts to civilized rule.” “It is unconscionable that the US President should sit idle while these subordinate governmental units commit such atrocities,” Shepherd complained. “In some states, any adult can qualify to carry a weapon. In others, people are allowed to ‘stand their ground’ and provoke a confrontation rather than comply with a simple request to hand over their wallet or remove their clothes.

Because citizens with guns are preventing our government from asking every suspected illegal immigrant for his/her papers or to remove his/her clothes.

Just so you know,

And just so you know, this isn't my posting, so there's nothing for me to stop. As you pointed out, the byline states Semi-News/Semi-Satire. I have no problem if Jim R. started asking people to label the headlines, especially since some people/sites are better at it than others.

But until then, yes, when I see a headline that seems a tad more outrageous than usual, I check the byline. I always check the byline, because I generally want to know who's pushing the "news" real/imagined/otherwise. I've read too many Onion articles not to.

As for the people who are so quick to condemn the actions referenced in the article, maybe they should slow down before hitting the trigger of that Post button. This is the Internet. Despite what you may have read, not everything that appears on the Internet is true. I know this because I read it on the internet.
