We have let the Government use the threat of Terrorism to create and endow a Semi-Totalitarian Police State designed not to fight the empty threat of Terrorism but to spy and control us.
The actual chances of any Terrorist activity affecting any of us is almost Nil.
Yet you add the tag Terrorism or Terrorist to any activity and every ABC Agency in the Government comes out. Witness what happened in Boston. Two imbeciles doing what they did leads to the shut down of major city for almost a week. I have yet to see any estimates of what that debacle cost economically there.
We are a war weary nation and it’s long since time to withdraw and bring our forces home. Let the Arabs fight it out and figure it out themselves.
The truth on what happened in Syria with those gas attacks is murky at best and I would be the rebel forces used them.
So lets just get out!!!!!

Congress doesn’t have to vote to approve an attack.

But, they can vote to approve a decision by the president, thereby relieving themselves from the final decision. Then, whatever decision comes from the administration, will be owned by the president.

Obama wants to lay blame on congress (mostly the GOP) for attacking or not attacking Syria. Congress can pass that blame back to Obama. Congress can pretend to be ambivalent or neutral or uncaring, while Obama will have to act to attack or not. Either way, the decision will be Obama’s. He can’t win no matter what he does, and no matter what side in Syria he chooses to “help”.
