Not the case in Japan . A few years ago a black woman from South Africa - who learned English as a second language - came over with her 3 year old kid to teach at the local high school for 3 years !

A young man at the coffee shop today was studying a textbook, The History of Korea. I asked him if he was majoring in Asian Studies. He said no, I’m going over to Korea to teach and I want to learn about the country.
