It turns out Shellie Zimmerman didnt lie to prosecutors last year, about her and Georges finances during his bond proceedings, after alland the case filed against her for alleged perjury is as malicious and full of holes as was the attempted railroading of her husband.
Not only that, but the whole reason for charging Shellie, at the time they did, was merely to have it hanging ominously over both of the Zimmermansto have more grave threat and stress brought upon their family, in addition to the trumped-up 2nd degree murder charge George faced, so prosecutors could bring that much more leverage pressure in their gambit of trying to get George to cop a guilty plea deal.
It didnt work, thank goodness.
A few days ago I was reminded that Shellies case was about to get underway. I had been under the mistaken impression that Shellie did try to mislead the court, so I started thinking I was going to write my column about how it is morally excusable to hide information from corrupt officials when they are not only criminally violating your husbands rights by prosecuting him based on no evidence and for a shameful political agenda, but also that its okay to attempt whatever means to protect ones mate when the authorities do absolutely nothing about the race-terrorists of the New Black Panther Party declaring an illegal bounty on his head on national television, and so on
Philosophers universally back me up on that, by the way. If Nazis show up at your door during a pogrom looking for Jews to gas, and you happen to have a Jewish family hiding in your basement, you have no moral obligation whatsoever to be honest with the inquisitors regarding who is inside your house.
So I figured that was how Id rationalize what Id only thought was the nature of Shellie Zimmermans responses when prosecutors had grilled her about the Zimmermans financial situation during Georges bond hearing process. For that matter, it was at that point in the whole saga, around the time of Georges bail hearing, I had been arguing vehemently that George would have been justified in simply fleeing the country, seeing as his own government all the way to the top (the President and Attorney General, members of the Congressional Black Caucus, et. al.) were so treacherous as to be intent on lynching him without even establishing probable cause for any charge.
You see, in my obsessive focus to debunk the media lies, and to get and report the truth about her husbands case, Id been rather duped by media reports about Shellies case. Until about two days ago, when I started doing research for this column, I had believed the allegations that Shellie had lied.
Then I came across the outstanding arguments put forth by legal eagles such as Professor William A. Jacobson at Legal Insurrection blog, and Mike McDaniel writing at Pajamas Media and Stately McDaniel Manor blogs. They lay out the details which lead us to the inescapable conclusion that, just as with the sham case brought against her husband, there simply isnt even legitimate grounds to charge Shellie Zimmerman with perjury, much less convict her. They also explain why the entire process was wrong, and corrupted by political motives. I was astonished to learn all this.
Now, in the interest of meeting the posting deadline while dealing with a family medical emergency, and with the indulgence of ClashDaily.com editors, instead of wading into the exact reasons for my assertion that Shellie Zimmerman should walk free from court once the truth comes out, Im providing links, below, to the excellent blog articles I mentionedand, the actual charging affidavit for Florida V. Shellie Zimmerman is found therein:

Read for yourself, and tell me in the comments section below, whether you think Shellie is innocent of perjury or not.

Thanks, D.
I’m relly curious about this. If Corey were involved in the prosecution the motive would be clear enough, but it doesn’t sound like she is.
I looked at the Legal Insurrection link at the article source link. Yes, Corey is the one. You were right, it looks like her handiwork, and it is. Different “judge” though.
I've seen plenty of witnesses lie under oath, in depositions and in court, but I've never seen a single prosecution.
Shellie’s indictment for perjury was O’Mara’s wake up call and the prosecution’s undoing.
When she was indicted O’Mara woke up and realized right there and then that they were not going to play fair but were playing for keeps and led to Lester’s dismissal.
Let’s see what it does for Corey’s career — what’s left of it.
You cite blogs as sources?
Really.
Excellent article. I had no idea she had even been charged, so thanks for sharing. I trust these websites more than the lame street media....lol!
The authorities are trying to wear them down to keep them from staying with the lawsuits long enough to win.
I’m not sure what this post is about, but it conflicts with the facts..
“Hearing deferred in Shellie Zimmerman’s perjury case”
This header has been reported in several newspapers and on local TV station.. Case will be heard next week...
You cite blogs as sources? If they are serious, reputable blogs (and at least two of the three are blogs I know and respect), why not?
Mark for later.
Can you cite any source which is more authoritative on the topic than the sources I provided?
I wrote/submitted it in the wee hours of 8/21, a few short hours before that header was reported, while the court docket had the trial scheduled to start on 8/21.
No problem.. I just searched and found the latest news..
