I had the same thing and it’s something to do with Firefox.
If you go to the add-ins, it is listed there (can’t remember the name) and you can remove or disable it.
That is what I did on 1 of my PCs. This one in fact. Ubuntu seems ok so far, but I have not yet set up my dev environment. If works I will be very happy with Linux.
I have Ubuntu 12.04 and it is remarkably stable. Sure it can’t do some things Windows can do, the best games are not on Linux for example. The market is smaller (and it likes free software) so there are fewer games.
You can of course buy games like Doom 3 and Quake 4 or is it Quake 3 and Doom 4? Whatever...
For the average person who wants to go online and write on Open(libre)office, Ubuntu is more than adequate.
Pretty good free games like Red Eclipse and 0 AD (still in development but free and playable) are pretty good
I quit using Chrome - always get a lot of crap through it.
Your Norton is enough. Dont download other software and delete this new stuff.
