You and me both. I quit in 1996 after TWA Flight 800 went down and the gov’t BS got too deep to believe.

The US-backed Islamist terrorists also engage in cannibalism.
The US government: fighting for beheadings, genocide of Syrian Christians, wanton death, and cannibalism.

Any idea of what a MANPAD’s shelf-life is?

If the U.S.-backed terrorists down a Russian airliner with Russian civilians on board, prepare for the real blowback.

I think it’s got a battery that goes dead.
But surely you can find one on Ebay, or AliBaba

True, but this is nothing new.
There have been similar stories about MANPADS for more than a decade.
I’m not saying it won’t happen, but I don’t think the threat level is changed.
I expect it won’t be long until homebuilt drones are able to deliver significant explosive charges into airliners.

Wow, I never even thought of that possibility.

Apparently, at least in the case of SA-7's, the effective shelf life is
10-15 years.

Did this turn out to be a fake story? I never found any other news about it.
