I just find it so strange the hate for Liz Cheney. I never cared for her but just a short while ago, she was the darling of Free Republic.

I dunno. I don’t *hate* Ms. Cheney, I just don’t think she belongs in the Wyoming Senate seat.
I was never part of the cheerleading squad for her here on FR, so I can’t speak to that question.

I’ll take a few rocks for ya and go so far as to say that I hope Liz Cheney gets elected. She’s smart, experienced, and if she was good enough for Fred Thompson, that says a lot. Her family has lived in Wyoming since the 1850s and I think her ideas will resonate with Wyoming farmers and ranchers. Get ready to duck. Because her last name is Cheney, and because her sister is a lesbian, there are posters on this board whose hatred for Liz is visceral.
