Robert Zimmerman Jr. On Civil Law Suit: "It Might Not Be Flattering To Trayvon Or His Family"
Global Grind ^ | July 27, 2013 | Staff

Posted on 07/27/2013 1:19:16 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

As we all know, George Zimmerman was recently acquitted of second-degree murder charges after killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin last year.

Since then, George's attorneys have been seen celebrating at one of the most expensive restaurants in New York, his parents have thanked God he was found not guilty, and Juror B37 had an onslaught of devastating comments to share.

Hurt Americans currently seeking out a better day for young African American males in this country.

To add fuel to the fire, Robert Zimmerman Jr. is speaking out against attempts to file a civil lawsuit against his brother George.

In what seemed like a slightly threatening comment and an attempt to intimidate the Martin family - and their supporters- Robert wrote in an email to The Huffington Post:

"A myriad of things that were off-limits in a criminal trial would come into play in a civil case. Specifically, things that might not be very flattering to Trayvon or his family."

"I don't expect a wrongful death suit ... There is the potential assertion of civil immunity before the case would even start -- things that were off limits during the case might also come up then. Also, a criminal acquittal goes a long way to supporting a civil immunity claim."

Why is it so hard for people to understand someone who kills a kid whose sole intent was to get home from the store, should be held accountable by the justice system?

I believe in FL it does. I don’t know if that is contingent on whether or not the DA presses charges or not.

I don’t believe there will be a lawsuit. The pro-Trayvon side could find very little dirt on Zimmerman. Zimmerman’s defense on the other hand found tons of dirt on Trayvon and his family.

All of this dirt could and would come out in a civil trial and they know it. Right now, his family can play the victim card as the aggrieved party, but that would change somewhat if they filed a civil lawsuit. There have already been more than a few rumblings in the media that illustrate that Trayvon was not the little angel he has been made out to be. Trayvon’s parents have a cash cow now and they won’t jeopardize that when they know they will lose and the public will hear far more of the truth than they did during the trial.

What happened was a tragedy, but the tragedy of Trayvon was already written by his parents and the flawed culture he grew up in - statistically, the story of this kid was not going to end well and they know it in their hearts. To see him portrayed as anything other than another casualty of a broken home, poor parenting, and a failed culture is as ridiculous as the criminal charge against Zimmerman.

The odds are extremely high that this young man was headed for destruction. The odds are extremely slim that he was going to get a good job and be a family man. This is the real tragedy of Trayvon and it is unfortunate for Zimmerman that Trayvon’s seemingly inevitable demise intersected with him.

Waiting in the bushes then attacking someone is not the way you get home.

If only that were true!
If that were the case, he would not have sneaked up on George and started to fight him, he would still be alive, and neither George and his relatives nor Trayvon's relatives would have to have suffered.

Snip:

What a load of BS! Travon reached his 'home' and went back to confront Zimmerman.

The articles and comments on Global Grind always scare me about America’s future. They are the dumbest of the dumb, and the white authors and commenters have the internet’s strongest strand of white guilt. They make Huffington Post readers seem like MENSA candidates, and MSNBC pundits sound reasonable on race.

"...Trayvon Martin, a kid whose sole intent was to get home from the store..."

Interesting. Are they saying Trayvon Martin assaulted Zimmerman unintentionally?

Inadvertently, maybe?

How does that work?

And they’re actually a family! Not just a bunch of loose cannons who’ve gotten each other pregnant and then passed the kids around.

Another question-- Why is it so hard for some people to understand that a thug who attacks and beats an armed citizen just might deserve to get shot...?

"Sole intent was to get home"....?

How do these libtarts continue to miss the point "on his way home" he got busy bashing in zimmerman's head into the concrete?

I almost hope this does go to a civil trial just because evidence from discovery will be nice to SHUT these LIBTARDS up

To: Alas Babylon!

I have the feeling that the lawyers have A LOT of information about Tray-von and his family that hasn’t come out yet. Why did Sabrina give her child to the girlfriend? Was is a drug problem? How long has Tracy been a gang member? Was he the one who helped Tray-von get his hand on that gun? How many illegitimate children does Tracy now have in addition to the one that was just born in January? Plus I’m hoping they were able to retrieve the burglary tools found in the bushes where Tray-von was hiding. Wouldn’t it be interesting if Tray-von’s prints were on them. Wouldn’t it be interesting if Tray-von’s visits to Brandy’s house coincided with other break-ins? Wouldn’t it be interesting if they were able to locate and interview the real DeeDee. There’s a lot more to come out!

I’m still trying to figure out how one could “stand their ground” while laying on their back getting pummeled.

MSNBC’s The Grio, the New York Amsterdam News and The Atlanta Black Star News are similar.
