Sometimes in the past few years I have to shake my head and wonder: Is this still the United States of America?
The family rescued by George Zimmerman after a rollover crash in Florida are terrified they will become targets for hate mobs who have made death threats to the neighborhood vigilante.
Mark and Dana Michelle Gerstle told friends they do not want to talk publicly about Zimmerman for fear they will be accused of portraying him as a hero and face a backlash from those who consider he got away with murder.
They are very grateful to Zimmerman for what he did, but they do not want to get involved, said a friend, who asked not to be named.
Go here to read the rest at The Daily Mail. Surprised that we have to read about this in a foreign newspaper? Neither am I.
There are two men dead already because the supported Zimmerman.
The family may not qualify as brave, but in the current climate, it appears their motto is “discretion is the bettor part of valor.” This does not necessarily mean that they are ungrateful.
Some choose to place themselves in harms way, others do not, especially when wife & children are involved.
You don’t know this at all!.....you have no idea if they expressed any appreciation for saving their ungrateful lives.
I agree. And a 110 Buck lockblade. Then if they are ever in where they can’t use their guns, they can always let one or more of them learn how it feels to hold their intestines in their hands. If George saved my life or helped me out, I would be more than happy to give my name and address and let the chips fall where they may.
Only if they have valuables to loot.
“A victory for the fear mongers (spit).”
Fear is something the fear mongers want to invoke in you to gain control over you. But they can’t MAKE you fear anything. You have to make that decision yourself. You can simply make the decision not to be fearful of them. They are the criminals. They are the ones threatening murder. The concept of self defense is a basic human right. It has been proven over and over in court, including in the GZ case. They will be on the losing end of things when and if they follow through on their threats to commit murder.
What a rude way to refer to a decent young man who willingly donated countless hours toward making his neighborhood safer.
Zimmerman has more common decency in his little finger than the people who hate him have, collectively, in their entire bodies.
His actions before and after the St. Martin shooting have proven it.
And, may I add, his shooting of St. Martin, though unintended, most likely did society a favor.
“go away! go away! we’d rather burn to death in this overturned vehicle! leave us alone!”
Ken Rex McElroy
Buddy, the America we grew up in died on November 4, 2008.
The message of Martin Luther King has been lost on many elements within the black community. He preached that all people should be treated equally and be judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
The modern “leaders” of the black community have abandoned this message. Encouraging equality and character building is no where to be heard in the toxic narratives of these “leaders”. MLK’s noble directives have been replaced with the incendiary concepts of entitlement, grievance, blame, and special treatment based on skin color.
Obama, Sharpton, Jackson, and the rest of this lot are causing more damage to the black community than white people ever could. They have out of wedlock births of blacks up over 70% and it looks like they are shooting for 100%. They are not lifting a finger on the real problem of young black men killing other young black men.
It is hard to build character in a young black man when there is no father around or if he is laying on a sidewalk in the inner city with a bullet in his head.
They should be ashamed.
Praise to George Zimmerman for mentoring young black men.
Someone has to do it.
Yes it did. And again, on Nov 6, 2012.

“Ken Rex McElroy”
Ken Rex McElroy (June 1, 1934 July 10, 1981) was a resident of Nodaway County, Missouri, near the town of Skidmore. Known as “the town bully”,[1] his unsolved murder became the focus of international attention. Over the course of his life McElroy was accused of dozens of felonies, including assault, child molestation, rape, arson, hog and cattle rustling, and burglary.[2]

He also conducted a terror campaign against the residents of the town. Until the just got really tired of it.
Well, thank you. Sometimes I can put a couple of words together :-)
Yeah, they did.
You know, what they’re doing with this actually helps Zimmerman by pointing out the irrational, boundless rage of those who disagree with the verdict. A lot of people will have a hard time finding sympathy for Zimmerman when it comes to death threats ... but for an innocent and uninvolved family that happened to have done nothing more than be saved by him?
They should come out on the lawn with an AR strapped around them and make a statement about GZ’s bravery. Nobody would even think of trespassing.
What a nation of wimps we have become.
Has it occurred to you that the “racist, ignorant lynch mob” is able to wield such control IN PART because people are too damned afraid to stand up to them?
