Shelby Steele on Obama’s view of race relations: 'My God, what's he complaining about?'
Daily Caller ^ | July 23, 2013 | Jeff Poor

In an appearance on Laura Ingraham’s radio program on Tuesday, Hoover Institution senior fellow Shelby Steele elaborated on a Monday op-ed in the Wall Street Journal on Monday arguing that the so-called civil rights establishment is in decline, as seen when the verdict in the George Zimmerman trial failed to create a significant reaction.

“I think probably, you know, the attempts to have big supportive rallies for Trayvon Martin and for the idea of him as a victim of white racism, has come to different cities around the country to put together these marchers and so forth — they have not been very successful,” Steele, the author of “White Guilt: How Blacks and Whites Together Destroyed the Promise of the Civil Rights Era,” said. “In all honesty, I don’t think there will be much of anything — good or bad — that will follow from this. It seems to me it’s one of those events that will — it’s exciting when it happens but they won’t, by definition there just simply won’t be much follow up.”

Steele says 0bama practically had the presidency handed to him, but yet it's tough being a black man in our racist society.

Mark my words - the strife will hit in August.

I’m sure all that racism Obama has to experience in life makes the job of presidency even harder. No wonder he needs to many $100 million vacations.

Jeeze, someone locked their car door when Obama was walking by so that proves the KKK is alive and well, right Mr. Kenya?

About the only thing Obama could ‘lead’ is a gay parade.

What a gotcha moment......here is the POTUS, whining about being targeted because he is black. It is so disingenuous that it is breathtaking. The white population dragged him into the WH, certainly not the blacks who represent 13% of the US population.

Sweet Little Trayvon was a cute kid, one who might have inspired a little more sympathy . . . but only if he had been a real person.

NoLimitN* was a completely different story. White men who read the facts of the case could identify with self-defense after being sucker punched without provocation. Women who read the facts may have had trouble generating sympathy for a kid who talked about women the way NoLimitN* actually talked about them. Even black men, whether they were thugs just like NoLimitN* or decent people, could look at the facts of the case and see that they had chosen one of the worst symbols imaginable if they wanted a successful rally for "understanding". Decent people already understand NoLimitN*, and we're glad that the community is now safe from him.

This is Obama’s key betrayal of the black community. He was supposed to represent HOPE. He was all about HOPE. They need hope and he basically implied that for 35 years, racism has been unchanged and there is no hope of fair treatment in the legal system, nor by the average neighborhood watch guy - he implied their situation was hopeless especially because “you can put a black man in the White House and bigots will just hunt them down on the street”. How many educationally or economically impoverished black people listening to Obama’s speech have any hope of becoming president? He seems to imply that the only way he escaped Trayvon’s fate is by becoming president. He steals their hope and uses it for political means. He is a traitor to their success.

"Obamacare is in the toilet, the Middle east is aflame, and everything Obama touch’s turns to Doodoo."

That's because of racism. If whitey wasn't keeping Obama down he would be more successful with all that stuff. But no, you white racist rednecks have to keep him locked in the ghetto, forced to deal drugs and rob cars for a living. No wonder he's angry and blames all white people for his problems.

His biggest personal problem is the heifer he is married to, if I had to come home to that I would stay on Air Force One with my friend Reggie Love too.

Well: Maybe not with Reggie, I like females.

But the low information voters, formerly known as stupid idiots, will still vote for the rats.

During their last vacation to Africa, Sasquatch flew on Air Force Two, at an extra cost of millions of course. Was that her idea or his?

I would say hers, but I really do not know. They do not seem to enjoy each others company. I believe she now knows—if she didn’t before—that she is merely wall covering.

Why blame the woman? Look what she’s hitched up with, and I suspect busy keeping the daughters away from their perverted father.

Sasquatch flew on Air Force Two.

Not sure whose idea it was, but whichever one came up with it, they probably looked at it as another poke-in-the-eye-with-a-sharp-stick to the taxpayers. So to them, it's all good.

Two reasons...hottest muggiest month of the year, as well as time for the “community” social media organizing to take place.
